摘要： Increases in the data transfer rates of optical disc drives have resulted in problems such as increases in optical disc vibrations due to higher rotation speeds or increases in heat generation due to increases in the output of motors for rotating the optical discs and in the output of laser diodes. To solve such problems, an optical pickup is provided with an air duct therein, and a space that is formed between the optical disc and a top case of a casing and that has negative pressure during rotation of the optical disc is connected to the air duct in the optical pickup via a tube, at least part of the tube being deformable. The optical pickup is cooled by the air flow through the air duct induced by pressure difference.

摘要： Increases in the data transfer rates of optical disc drives have resulted in problems such as increases in optical disc vibrations due to higher rotation speeds or increases in heat generation due to increases in the output of motors for rotating the optical discs and in the output of laser diodes. 摘要： An optical disc drive includes a rotation device that rotates an optical disc in a clockwise direction when an upper surface of the optical disc is viewed, a disc mounting portion for mounting of the optical disc thereon has a recess portion, and an optical pickup which irradiates a laser beam on a lower recording surface of the optical disc. The disc mounting portion includes a first penetrating opening portion therethrough that extends from a center area of the recess portion to a periphery of the recess portion. The disc mounting portion further includes a single second penetrating opening portion therethrough being provided at a rear of the disc mounting portion and periphery at an upstream side of the clockwise rotating direction with respect to a center line of the first penetrating opening portion extending from a front to the rear of the disc mounting portion.

摘要： An optical disc drive, comprising: a housing; a tray for transferring an optical disc, having a disc mounting portion for mounting the optical disc thereon, and being movable into an inside and a front of the housing; a motor for rotationally driving said optical disc; an optical pickup, having one or more of laser diode(s) for generating a laser beam for conducting recording/reproducing of information onto/from the optical disc, and for irradiating the laser beam upon the optical disc; and a first penetrating hole, for letting the rotation device and the laser beam passing therethrough, being provided within the disc mounting portion and also in rear of said disc mounting portion, on the tray, wherein a second penetrating hole is further provided in rear of the disc mounting portion, in an upstream side of rotating direction of the optical disc than the first penetrating portion, and the second penetrating portion is larger in area than a total of area(s) obtained by projecting the laser diode(s) onto the optical disc, or a protuberance is further provided in an upper side of the tray, within an upstream side of rotation of the optical disc than the second penetrating portion.

摘要： In a disc drive for achieving cooling of an electronic part therein, as well as, suppressing transmission of noises generated from a disc clamper, etc., a channel member 18 for introducing an outside air into an inside is disposed between a supporting member 15 and a top-cover 10, within an inside thereof is formed a vortex-like channel, extending from a center to an outer periphery thereof. At the center of the channel member 18 is formed an opening 19 for introducing the outside air into the inside of the disc drive, and on the top-cover 10 are provided plural numbers of openings 20 for taking the outside air into the channel member 18. When an optical disc 6 rotates, pressure generated on an upper surface thereof comes to be negative to the outside air, then the outside air is taken from the openings 20, through the vortex-like channel of the channel member 18 and the opening 19, into the inside of the drive, so as to pass through electronic parts, such as, an optical pickup, etc., thereby cooling them. Noises generated from the disc clamper 17 are attenuated within the vortex-like channel of a long route, which is formed within the channel member 18.

摘要： A disc drive apparatus comprises: a spindle motor 20 for hold a disc 2 and for rotate it; an optical head 7 for conducting either one of recording or reproducing of information onto/from the disc; a driver unit for moving the optical head in a radial direction of the disc; and a unit mechanism chassis 8 for supporting those thereon, fixedly, wherein the spindle motor is constructed with a rotational drive means made of a magnetic circuit, a rotor portion and a rotation shaft, which define a rotation body, and a spindle motor attachment plate to hold those thereon, and the spindle motor attachment plate has a semi-circular shaped plate configuration in a part thereof, nearly fitting to an outer diameter the rotor portion, in a direction where the optical head is provided, and has a step-like structure in thickness direction of the plate thereof, within a semi-circular shaped region with respect to a line connecting between corner portions on both ends of that semi-circular shape, and also bridging over that line.
