Abstract: According to an example embodiment, a radio transmitter includes at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the radio transmitter to obtain bits to be transmitted; map the bits into a symbol grid in time-frequency domain; modulate the symbol grid into a first time-domain waveform; input the first time-domain waveform into a machine learning model, producing a second time-domain waveform; power amplify the second time-domain waveform, producing an amplified time-domain waveform; and transmit the amplified time-domain waveform. A radio transmitter, a method and a computer program product are disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a machine learning (ML)-based receiver that is invariant to the number of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) layers it processes. The ML-based receiver is configured, for each MIMO layer, to obtain a set of intermediate estimates by performing an equalization operation based on channel information and an array of symbols received over the MIMO layers, and to obtain a set of final estimates for the array of symbols by using a layer-associated block of a ML model. Each layer-associated block of the ML model is configured to receive the set of intermediate estimates as input data and output the set of final estimates. The layer-associated blocks are configured operate in parallel and exchange weights between each other during a training phase. In some embodiments, the layer-associated blocks may be further configured to exchange the input data between each other during the training and inference phases.

Abstract: Radio transmitter devices and related methods and computer programs are disclosed. Uplink channel information is received at a radio transmitter device. The radio transmitter device determines resource element specific precoding matrices for a downlink channel based on the received uplink channel information. The radio transmitter device generates transmit antenna specific output signals for the transmit antenna array based on the determined resource element specific precoding matrices and symbols to be transmitted. The determining of the resource element specific precoding matrices for the downlink channel based on the received uplink channel information is performed with applying a neural network to the received uplink channel information. Abstract: A method for an apparatus in a communications network is provided. The apparatus includes at least two receiver units configured to receive signals from user equipment (UEs) in the communication network and a logical unit communicatively coupled to each of the receiver units. The logical unit receives a signal from each of the receiver units and output outputs a sequence of data corresponding to a sequence of transmitted data.
