Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for a framework for handling the appropriately configured positioning measurement reports for use by a network element without requiring knowledge of vendor-specific or proprietary information are provided. For example, a method may include receiving from a network node, a message including a code configuration to configure collected samples measurements for reporting. The method may also include generating a code from the collected samples measurements in a predefined format according to the code configuration. The method may further include reporting the generated code to the network node.

Abstract: A node receives and measures reference signals for determining positioning information corresponding to a UE. The node applies a function to the measured reference signals to form an output corresponding to a fixed set of input features and determines the positioning information of the UE using the output. The node sends a measurement report, including indication of the positioning information, from the node toward a further node. A further node sends to the node indication of a function to be used by the node to apply to positioning reference signals to form an output of a fixed set of input features used to determine positioning information for a UE. The further node receives a measurement report including at least indication of the positioning information based at least on the positioning reference signals and the function and updates at least the function based at least on the measurement report.
