摘要: A connector with a locking mechanism includes a pair of connector housings coupled with each other at their opposed portions. The locking mechanism locks the coupled position of the housings and has a pair of locking devices formed in the housings. One of the connector housings has a slide member having one of the locking devices and a housing body having a slide groove in an upper center portion thereof for slidably receiving the slide member. The slide member is biased by a biasing spring disposed between the slide member and the housing body so that the slide member can move away from the coupled position. The slide member is adapted to be maintained in a first locking position in the housing body by a latching device. The slide member is adapted to be maintained in a second locking position in the one of the connector housings by the locking mechanism to prevent the slide member and the housing body from disengaging from the coupled position. The slide member may also be provided with a conductive portion positioned so as to engage a pair of detecting terminals coupled to detecting conductors when the slide member is moved from the first locking position to the second locking position whereby a circuit for detecting the complete coupling is formed.

摘要: In a multi-way connector requiring less inserting force in which the front portions of a pair of female and male connector housings each accommodating groups of ternminals are fitted in each other so as to be coupled together for connection, a rotatable member rotatably supported and having a driver point projection and a follower point pawl that are formed on the outer circumference thereof is provided in one of the pair of connector housings, while a driver slide is mounted on the upper side of the rotatable member. The driver slide is slidable in a coupling direction of the connector housing, and the leading end of the driver slide is brought into abutment with the rear of the driver point projection with the rear end thereof being allowed to project from the connector housing in which it is provide. In addition, a follower engagement portion designed to be brought into engagement with the follower point pawl is provided in the other connector housing of the pair of connector housings, whereby the pair of connector housings are coupled together for connection by the action of the rotatable member resulting when the driver slide is pushed in.

摘要: An electrical connection box includes a casing having an upper casing (10) and a lower casing (11). Terminal holes (19, 20) are formed on the outer wall of the casing. An insulating plate (12), mounted in the casing, has a several of wiring grooves (13) formed on at least one of its opposite faces (12a, 12b). Terminal driving portions (24 and 25), obtained by increasing a width of the wiring grooves (13), are provided at predetermined locations in the wiring grooves (13). Wires (14, 15) having first and second diameters are inserted into and held in the wiring grooves (13). Pressing contact terminals (16, 17) includes a pressing contact portion (16a, 17a) and an input-output terminal portion (16b, 17b) formed at its opposite ends, respectively. The pressing contact portions (16a, 17a) are driven into the terminal driving portions (24, 25) to connect through pressing contact to the wires (14, 15) held in the wiring grooves. The input-output terminal portions (16b, 17b) project out of each of the terminal holes (19, 20) to connect to an external circuit. The pressing contact portions (FIG. 46) may include notches (117g, 117h) that bite into the wiring groove as the pressing portions engage the wires and expand outwardly. Small-diameter wires 14 may engage shorter pressing contact terminals 16, while large-diameter wires 15 engage longer pressing contact terminals 17.

摘要: An electrical connection box includes a casing having an upper casing (10) and a lower casing (11). Terminal holes (19, 20) are formed on the outer wall of the casing. 摘要: An electric terminal for facilitating the formation of a wire harness and attaching of the wire harness to an electric equipment in the production of the latter. The connector includes a flat terminal which comprises a ring-shaped flat terminal portion having a bolt hole formed therein, a tab projected radially outwardly from the periphery of the terminal portion, and a wire crimping portion projected also radially outwardly from the terminal portion. The base portion of the wire crimping portion constitutes a tab insertion opening for receiving the tab of another terminal, so that a plurality of connectors can be assembled together in such a state that the tab of one connector fits in the tab insertion opening of another connector. It is therefore possible to assemble a plurality of wire harness elements together before attaching them to a common electric connector bolt.

摘要: A connector provided with a half-fitting prevention function has a simplified configuration. A spring 40 is provided with a spring member 44 located to the posterior of a spring pressing member 41 which is pressed directly by a female housing. This spring member 44 is compressed when it receives a pressing force. The spring pressing member 41 and the spring member 44 are formed in a unified manner from plastic. The spring 40 is housed within a spring housing chamber 30 of a male housing 20. If the fitting of the two housings is halted part-way through the operation, the spring member 44 which has been compressed is released, the force which has been accumulated thus far is released, and the female housing is thereby caused to move in a direction of separation.

摘要: A shield layer 13 of a shielded cable W and a metal shell 30 are electrically connected via a connection member 40. This connection member 40 is tubular and includes a receiving portion 41 which is insertable under the shield layer 13, a shield layer fastening portion 42 for fastening the shield layer 13 to the receiving portion 41, and a contact portion 43 to be brought into pressing contact with the inner circumferential surface of the metal shell 30. The portions 41 to 43 are integrally or unitarily formed. With this construction, if the shield layer fastening portion 42 is fastened after the receiving portion 41 is inserted under the shield layer 13, the shield layer 13 is tightly held between the receiving portion 41 and the fastening portion 42. As a result, the shield layer 13 and the metal shell 30 are connected electrically even if the rigidity of an insulation layer 12 is reduced.
