    摘要: A head maintenance device includes a wiping section which wipes a nozzle plane, on which a plurality of nozzles to eject ink are provided, of an inkjet head. The wiping section includes a wiping member including a cloth, an elastic body and a support, in the order named from a side where the wiping section comes into contact with the inkjet head. The cloth is moved parallel to the nozzle plane at a relative moving velocity of not less than RMV×0.2 and not more than RMV×0.9 with respect to the nozzle plane so as to wipe the nozzle plane.

    摘要: The present invention provides an active ray curable ink-jet ink which exhibits excellent ejection capability, results in no mixing of deposited dots between colors during high speed printing, and exhibits rapid curing characteristics, and an image forming method and an image forming apparatus employing the above ink-jet ink. The above active ray curable ink-jet ink is characterized of incorporating at least a carbon black based pigment, a dispersing agent, a cationic polymerizable monomer, and an acid generating agent, wherein the aforesaid carbon black based pigment is basic and the aforesaid dispersing agent has an acid value and an amine value.

The aforesaid actinic radiation curable ink-jet ink enable to achieve an ink-jet ink exhibiting excellent storage stability, ejection capability, and curability after ejection, and enables formation of highly detailed images which realize high density, uniform glossiness, and excellent color reproduction, and forms no wrinkling, and provide a image forming method using the same.
