摘要: A connector having an engagement detecting device, comprises: a first connector housing (100) for housing a plurality of first connector terminals (23); a second connector housing (200) for housing a plurality of second connector terminals (21) mated with the first connector terminals, and engaged with the first connector housing; a slider (300, 300A) inserted into the first connector housing in two stages of a half engagement position and a full engagement position; and a short-circuit spring (400) disposed within the first connector housing, for shorting electrically two adjacent mated connector terminals (23, 21) when the slider is inserted into the first connector housing to the half engagement position, but disconnecting electrically the same two adjacent mated connector terminals when the second connector housing (200) is engaged with the first connector housing (100) and thereafter the slider is further inserted into the first connector housing to the full engagement position. The short-circuit spring (400) can apply a reaction force to the slider when the slider is further inserted to the full engagement position, thus providing a stable connector engagement detecting device while decreasing the number of parts.

摘要: A connector having an engagement detecting device, comprises: a first connector housing for housing a plurality of first connector terminals; a second connector housing for housing a plurality of second connector terminals mated with the first connector terminals, and engaged with the first connector housing; a slider inserted into the first connector housing in two stages of a half engagement position and a full engagement position; and a short-circuit spring disposed within the first connector housing, for shorting electrically two adjacent mated connector terminals when the slider is inserted into the first connector housing to the half engagement position, but disconnecting electrically the same two adjacent mated connector terminals when the second connector housing is engaged with the first connector housing and thereafter the slider is further inserted into the first connector housing to the full engagement position. The short-circuit spring can apply a reaction force to the slider when the slider is further inserted to the full engagement position, thus providing a stable connector engagement detecting device while decreasing the number of parts.

摘要: To provide a double-retaining connector in which terminals can be inserted smoothly, thereby enhancing an operation efficiency and eliminating an obstacle to the achievement of an automation production. In the double-retaining connector, a cavity is formed in a connector housing, and a spacer is provided so as to be inserted into the cavity in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-retained condition and a completely-retained condition, and the spacer has openings which are aligned respectively with terminal receiving chambers in the provisionally-retained condition of the spacer so as to allow terminals to pass through the openings, respectively. Each of the terminal receiving chambers is divided by the cavity into a front receiving chamber and a rear receiving chamber in such a manner that the cavity is interposed between the front and rear receiving chambers. At a boundary between the opening and the rear receiving chamber, an open end of the opening is larger than an open end of the rear receiving chamber. At a boundary between the front receiving chamber and the opening, an open end of the front receiving chamber is larger than an open end of the opening.

摘要: A lock detecting structure of connector comprises: a male connector housing (100) formed with a deformable lock arm (105) having a lock projection (112), and with two slider stoppers (150); a female connector housing (200) mated with the male connector housing (100) and formed with a lock claw (210) engaged with the lock projection of the male connector housing, and a slider release projection (206); and a slider (300) slidable inserted into the male connector housing (100) and stopped at a temporary engage position due to engagement of the slider with the lock projection (112) and the two slider stoppers (150) of the male connector housing. When the male connector housing (200) is perfectly mated with the female connector housing (100) and thereby the slider is deformed inward away from the lock projection (112) and the slider stoppers (150) of the male connector housing by the lock claw (210) and the slider release projection (206) of the female connector housing (200), the slider can be further inserted deep into the female connector housing (200) to a lock confirmation position. In particular, since the two slider stoppers (150) are formed inside the male connector housing and therefore the slider can be stopped within the male connector housing, it is possible to reliably detect the connector housing lock conditions, without being subjected to the influence of an external force applied to the slider.

摘要: A double-locking connector including a front holder for double locking terminals within a connector housing where the terminals can be removed from the housing without disengaging the front holder from the housing. The double-locking connector includes a connector housing including terminal accommodating chambers which have stoppers against which metal terminals abut when they are inserted into the terminal accommodating chambers from the rear, and flexible locking pieces adapted to lock the metal terminals in the terminal accommodating chambers, respectively. The connector also includes a front holder which is engageable with the connector housing from the front. The front holder has flexible locking pieces which are respectively engageable with the metal terminals. Each of the flexible locking pieces has temporary locking protrusions and final locking protrusions which are engaged with locking portions forming the front end of the respective terminal accommodating chamber. When the front holder is in a temporarily locked position, the flexible locking pieces are not engaged with the metal terminals; when the front holder is in a completely locked position the flexible locking pieces are engaged with the metal terminals; and when the front holder is thereafter moved in a perpendicular direction the final locking protrusions become disengaged with the metal terminals.
