    Abstract: A therapeutic energy applying structure includes: an insulating substrate; an electric resistance pattern provided on one surface of the substrate to generate heat; a connection portion provided on the one surface and configured to be electrically connected to the resistance pattern, the connection portion having a lower electric resistance than the resistance pattern; and a heat transfer plate facing the one surface and configured to transfer the heat from the resistance pattern to body tissue. The substrate and the heat transfer plate have an elongated shape extending in a same direction. The resistance pattern and the connection portion are arranged side by side in a longitudinal direction of the substrate. The substrate has a first region on which the connection portion is provided and has a second region on which the resistance pattern is provided. A width of the first region is larger than a width of the second region.

    Abstract: A heating blade unit, a treatment tool, and a method of manufacturing a heating blade unit are disclosed. The heating blade unit includes: an electric heater, a blade, and a cover made of a thermosetting resin. The blade includes a treatment surface, an installation surface that is provided on a side opposite to the treatment surface and on which the electric heater is installed, and a support surface that is provided at a position different from a position at which the installation surface is provided. The cover integrally covers the electric heater, and one or more surfaces of the blade.

    Abstract: A medical treatment device includes a pair of holding members for opening and closing about an axis in accordance with an operation of an operating unit, and a shaft having one end connected to the operating unit and having the other end to axially support the holding members through the axis so as to allow the holding members to open and close. One of the holding members includes an energy application portion for contacting a body tissue to apply energy to the body tissue with the body tissue grasped by the holding members. The energy application portion is connected to a flexible substrate to be electrically connected to a lead wire provided inside the shaft extending from the other end of the shaft toward the one end of the shaft. The flexible substrate is connected to the lead wire closer to the one end of the shaft than the axis.

    Abstract: An endoscope includes an insertion portion that is inserted into a subject, and a suction channel that suctions a liquid along with a crushed calculus.
