    Abstract: An insertion portion of an endoscope includes: an image pickup unit having an observation unit and an image pickup cable; and a distal end frame member having a first hole and a second hole and having a contact surface with which a proximal end portion is brought into contact when the image pickup cable is provided in the second hole. The second hole has a shape in which the image pickup cable is rotatable together with the observation unit in a state where the image pickup cable is provided in the second hole.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed to a bendable tube bendable by a bending wire that comprises a plurality of bending pieces configured to be joined together. The bending pieces including a distal-end bending piece disposed at a foremost end of the bendable tube. The distal-end bending piece includes a flat portion forming a flat surface. An attaching portion is disposed on the flat portion. The attaching portion having a first insertion region and a second insertion region. The bending wire is inserted from within the distal-end bending piece outwardly of the distal-end bending piece through the first insertion region. The bending wire is inserted from outside the distal-end bending piece into the distal-end bending piece through the second insertion region. The bending wire disposed outside the distal-end bending piece between the first insertion region and the second insertion region being attached to the distal-end bending piece by the attaching portion.

    Abstract: An endoscope is provided with: a wire; a distal end nodal ring, in which the wire is arranged immediately below a first through hole including openings at predetermined positions on the inner circumferential face and an outer circumferential face of the distal end nodal ring; a distal end member including a small diameter portion arranged to be fitted in a distal end side inner circumferential face of the distal end nodal ring and a large diameter portion provided on a distal end side of the small diameter portion, the large diameter portion having a diameter larger than a diameter of the small diameter portion; an accommodating portion formed on an outer circumferential face side of the small diameter portion, the first end portion of the wire being accommodated in the accommodating portion; and a relief portion formed by the accommodating portion extending to the large diameter portion.

    Abstract: An insertion portion of an endoscope includes a multi-lumen tube including a treatment instrument insertion channel, a first wire insertion hole that is provided parallel to the treatment instrument insertion channel, and a second wire insertion hole; one towing wire including a first portion that is inserted into the first wire insertion hole, a second portion that is inserted into the second wire insertion hole, and a third portion that is drawn out between the first wire insertion hole and the second wire insertion hole, wherein a proximal end portion of the first portion and a proximal end portion of the second portion are connected to a bending operation member; and a third wire insertion hole into which the third portion is inserted and in which the third portion abuts on a part of an inner peripheral surface.
