摘要: Certain aspects relate to manually and robotically controllable medical instruments. A manually and robotically controllable medical instrument can include an elongated shaft articulable by pull wires. The elongated shaft can be connected to an instrument handle that attaches to an instrument drive mechanism. The instrument handle can include a pulley assembly on which the pull wires can be mounted. Rotation of the pulley assembly can actuate the pull wires to cause articulation of the elongated shaft. The medical instrument also includes a manual drive input connected to the pulley assembly such that manual actuation of the manual drive input causes rotation of the first pulley assembly and a robotic drive input configured to engage with a robotic drive output of the instrument drive mechanism such that rotation of the first robotic drive output causes rotation of the pulley assembly.

摘要: A medical device includes a handle including a first slot, a first control device movable within the first slot in a proximal direction and a distal direction, and a sheath extending from the handle and having a longitudinal axis, the sheath defining a first lumen extending from the handle to a distal end of the sheath. A first tube extends within the first lumen, the first tube is connected to the first control device and moves between a first position, where a distalmost end of the first tube is flush with or proximal of a distalmost end of the sheath, and a second position, where the distalmost end of the first tube is positioned distal of the distalmost end of the sheath. The first slot extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the sheath.

摘要: An endoscope used for insertion into a patient's body is disclosed herein. The endoscope can comprise an outer sleeve defining a longitudinal axis. The outer sleeve can comprise a first deflecting segment and a second deflecting segment at a distal portion of the outer sleeve and one or more slots at the distal portion. The endoscope can further comprise an inner sleeve positioned within the outer sleeve and comprising a working channel. The inner sleeve can comprise one or more extending elements at a distal portion of the inner sleeve, the one or more extending elements being coupled to the first deflecting segment of the outer sleeve. The endoscope can further comprise a tool advanceable through the working channel, wherein advancement of the tool transitions the distal portion of the outer sleeve between a straight profile and a deflected profile.

The disposable section of an endoscope handle includes: a housing provided with a connecting portion that is detachably connected to a reusable section of the handle; an inserting unit including a proximal end located at a distal end of the housing; and a first transmission assembly including: a first traction wire, a second traction wire, and a first connecting element, where the first traction wire and the second traction wire are located in the inserting unit; proximal ends of the first traction wire and the second traction wire are connected to the first connecting element; a proximal end surface of the housing forms a linear movement path that is orthogonal to an axial direction of the proximal end surface; and the first connecting element is movable along the linear movement path.

The casing (101) has a transparent cap (105) configured for visualizing structure of the cavity. The casing (101) comprises an expandable outer cuff (104), for separating the walls of a body part.

The at least one stiffening element extends through a stiffening channel of the plurality of links. The at least one stiffening element has a proximal end fixedly attached to one link of the plurality of links and has a distal end fixedly attached to another link of the plurality of links.

摘要: A modular endoscope system comprises an exoskeleton, a camera unit couplable to the exoskeleton, a therapeutic unit couplable to the exoskeleton, a steering unit couplable to the exoskeleton, and a control unit couplable to the exoskeleton. A method for building a modular endoscope comprises determining camera and therapeutic capabilities of the endoscope, selecting an exoskeleton for the endoscope, attaching a camera unit and therapeutic unit, if such capabilities are determined, to the selected exoskeleton to satisfy the determined capabilities, and attaching a control unit to the exoskeleton to control any camera unit and therapeutic unit attached to the exoskeleton. A method of processing modular endoscope components for performing a surgical procedure comprises identifying a patient to receive a treatment, selecting components of the endoscope to perform the treatment, treating the patient with the endoscope, and deconstructing the components of the endoscope into reusable and disposable components.
