Abstract: A technique for obtaining an electrocardiogram of good waveform quality. A biological information measurement device for measuring a blood pressure and an electrocardiographic waveform of a subject includes: a blood pressure measurement control unit configured to control measurement of a blood pressure of a measurement site of the subject; a first electrode to be in contact with a first site of the subject; a second electrode to be in contact with a second portion of the subject different from the first site; an electrocardiographic measurement control unit configured to control measurement of an electrocardiographic waveform of the subject through the first electrode and the second electrode; a main body portion including the blood pressure measurement control unit and the electrocardiographic measurement control unit; an instruction input portion operated by the subject to input an instruction; and a fixing portion configured to fix the main body portion to the measurement site.

Abstract: A blood-pressure gauge includes: an opening valve connected to a sensing cuff and being in an open state with being conducted to outside air or a closed state with not being conducted to the outside air; a pressure cuff controller controlling the pressure cuff to a compression state with fluid supply to the pressure cuff and a measurement site being compressed via the pressure cuff or a release state with the fluid discharging from the pressure cuff and compression releasing via the pressure cuff; an opening valve controller controlling the opening valve to the open state or the closed state; and a blood pressure calculator calculating a blood pressure from a pressure change of the sensing cuff at the closed state of the opening valve. The sensing cuff has restorability to make a volume in the sensing cuff a predetermined volume when the opening valve is in the open state.

Abstract: The plaque detecting device of the present invention comprises a light emitting unit (450) which irradiates ultraviolet or blue excitation light (L) toward the tooth surface (99a), and a first and second light receiving units (402) which receive radiated light (L′) from the tooth surface (99a). The first light receiving unit extracts the spectral component of a first wavelength region including the wavelength range of fluorescent light specific to plaque from the radiated light (L′), and obtains a first output value corresponding to the intensity of that spectral component. The second light receiving unit extracts, from the radiated light (L′), the spectral component of a second wavelength region containing the wavelength range of the fluorescent light specific to enamel and having a predetermined lower limit wavelength below the lower limit wavelength of the first wavelength region, and obtains a second output value corresponding to the intensity of this spectral component. Determination of the relative magnitude of the ratio between the first output value and the second output value as compared to a first threshold value is performed. Determination of the relative magnitude of the difference between the first output value and the second output value as compared to a second threshold value is performed.
