Abstract:
Guide track assemblies for upward acting doors include identical vertical and horizontal linear track sections and a curvilinear transition track section. The linear track sections include spaced-apart elongated slots formed at acute angles with respect to the longitudinal extent of the track sections for cooperation with retainer members mounted on angle-shaped jamb brackets. A header bracket also includes one or more retainer members thereon for disposition in similar elongated slots formed in the curvilinear track section. The linear track sections fit in telescoping relationship within enlarged end portions of the curvilinear track section. The configurations of the header brackets, jamb brackets and track sections facilitate quick assembly and easy positional adjustment of the track sections with respect to a door opening covered by a door guided by the track assemblies.
Abstract:
A reinforcing post assembly for use with a sectional upward acting door to reinforce the door against high windloads includes an elongated C-channel shaped post reinforced with spaced apart gusset plates, and including retractable anchor pin members at its lower end. Elongated anchor links are mounted on the post upper end for engagement with a wall bracket which includes retainer pins and bosses formed thereon for retaining the links in a working position of the post. Spaced apart flexible cables are mounted on the post and may be connected at opposed eyes to retaining anchor pins mounted on the door sections and extending therebetween at spaced apart points on the door.
Abstract:
Track guided doors, such as upward acting multipanel garage doors are provided with roller guide member support brackets on opposite side edges of the panels for supporting guide rollers disposed in the opposed guide tracks. The support brackets include bearing bores formed by bore walls of the support brackets for supporting elongated stem or shaft portions of the roller guide members. The roller guide members may include leaf springs mounted in grooves on the guide member shaft portions or the support bracket may include elastically deflectable clips mounted thereon, the leaf springs and clips providing resilient members for engagement with the stem parts, respectively, to bias them into engagement with the bore walls of the support brackets to minimize noise generated by the guide members during movement of the door.
