Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) monitors a set of Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) candidates for control information received from a base station at subframe k. The set of PDCCH candidates to monitor are defined in terms of search spaces. The UE monitors a UE-specific search space, among the search spaces, at each of aggregation levels (L) of 1, 2, 4 and 8 control channel elements (CCEs), the CCE being a resource unit comprising a specific number of resource elements and used for transmission of the control information. The L CCEs correspond to a first PDCCH candidate among the set of PDCCH candidates of the search space at a subframe k are located at positions given by: L*{(Yk)mod(floor(C))}+i, wherein i−0, . . . , L-1, where Yk is defined by: Yk−(A*Yk−1B) mod D. The variable C is determined based on the number of CCEs (NCCE) divided by the aggregation level (L), and A, B, and D are predetermined constant values predetermined regardless of the aggregation levels L. The UE decodes the control information of the PDCCH.

Abstract: A method for efficiently transmitting and receiving control information through a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) is provided. When a User Equipment (UE) receives control information through a PDCCH, the received control information is set to be decoded in units of search spaces, each having a specific start position in the specific subframe. Here, a modulo operation according to a predetermined first constant value (D) is performed on an input value to calculate a first result value, and a modulo operation according to a predetermined first variable value (C) corresponding to the number of candidate start positions that can be used as the specific start position is performed on the calculated first result value to calculate a second result value and an index position corresponding to the second result value is used as the specific start position. Transmitting control information in this manner enables a plurality of UEs to efficiently receive PDCCHs without collisions.

Abstract: A method for transmitting uplink signals comprises multiplexing data and first type control information to output multiplexed signals; mapping the multiplexed signals to a resource region matrix; mapping second type control information to the resource region matrix to overwrite some of the multiplexed signals mapped to specific positions of the resource region matrix corresponding to symbols which are near symbols used for reference signals; and transmitting an output sequence of the resource region matrix to the base station. The second type control information comprises at least one of an ACK/NACK information and a rank indicator (RI), and the first type control information comprises control information other than the rank indicator (RI) and the ACK/NACK information.

Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) receives control information via a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) at subframe k. A decoder monitors a set of PDCCH candidates a UE-specific search space, among the search spaces, at each of aggregation levels (L) of 1, 2, 4 and 8 control channel elements (CCEs). The UE-specific search space is given based on a modulus operation using variables Yk and C for the subframe k. Yk is defined by: Yk=(A*Yk−1+B) mod D. C is determined based on the number of CCEs (NCCE) divided by the aggregation level (L). A, B, and D are predetermined constant values regardless of the aggregation levels (L). Y−1 is determined based on a UE identifier having 16-bits when k=0. The decoder decodes the control information of the PDCCH.
