摘要: Apparatus for continuous separation of solid-fluid mixtures comprising means for routing an endless band of filter cloth folded to form an endless tube which is longitudinally openable and closable to permit introduction of a mixture into the tube for filtering, and removal of solids following filtering. Means for introducing a mixture into the tube are followed by a filter unit which is adjustable in cross sectional flow area. The inlet means and filter unit are assembled on a first frame. A second frame outfitted with means for opening the tube for discharge of solids follows. The two frames are separable to provide a modular construction. Press units, also of modular construction, can be interposed between said frames, also as modules, and means are provided for adjusting the pressure exerted by the press units.

摘要: A method and system for generating a user interface in a database management system. A semantic data model is used to describe a database in terms of data types stored in the database and functional types that describe relationships between the data types stored in the database. The system dynamically queries the data model to generate a graph of the data model itself. These queries are initiated by the system without user intervention. The user selects a node on the graph that causes the data model to be searched again to determine the name of the node selected, one or more types of relationships associated with the node selected and one or more instances of the relationships associated with the node selected. This information is used to generate a form containing a plurality of blanks. A user enters a query constraint into one or more of the blanks and the database is searched for instances of data meeting the query constraints. The data model is easily adaptable to reflect changes in the architecture of the database. The user interface reflects those changes without the need to recode or recompile the software that generates the user interface. Also because the data model is semantically the same throughout, the same functions can query the data model itself as well as the data represented by the data model.

摘要: An apparatus for producing a series of electronic forms that are related to completing a task. The apparatus includes a computer system in which one or more databases are stored. The computer system displays a list of tasks that can be selected by a customer service representative. Each task has associated with it a series of forms that must be completed. Each form includes a plurality of fields, each of which has an associated database. A code segment associated with each field processes data as it is entered into the field and stores the data in the field's associated database. The system also provides a task map indicating the forms that must be completed to finish a given task, as well as the forms that have already been completed.

摘要: A method and system for processing a user dialogue using dialogue-state objects. The method and system are implemented using an interactive computer system. The interactive computer system includes a dialogue manager and application control logic. The method includes the step of providing a plurality of objects encapsulating dialogue data and dialogue procedures associated with dialogue-states. The method next includes the step of providing a pointer. The pointer identifies a first object as a current object. The method further includes the step of receiving an input signal. The method also includes the step of processing the input signal. The method finally includes the step of updating the pointer based on the step of processing such that the pointer identifies a second object as the current object.
