Abstract: A display system includes an image producing unit, a projection unit and an adjustment unit. The image producing unit has a display surface, and is configured to produce an image on the display surface. The projection unit is configured to project a virtual image to a target space with an output light of the image producing unit. The virtual image corresponds to the image produced by the image producing unit. The display system is configured to change a visual distance between an eye-box and the virtual image. The adjustment unit is configured to adjust brightness of the virtual image according to the visual distance.

Abstract: A video display system according to an embodiment includes a display unit, a projection unit, and a display control unit. The display unit displays an image thereon. The projection unit projects a virtual image corresponding to the image onto a target space with outgoing light of the display unit. The display control unit is able to change a projection distance from a viewpoint of a user, who is viewing the virtual image, to the virtual image projected onto the target space. The display control unit changes the projection distance in a change pattern. The change pattern varies according to situation information.

Abstract: A display device has a housing, a video generator, and a mirror. The mirror has a mirror body and a supported portion. The mirror body has a plate shape. The supported portion is provided at at least one end portion in a first direction of the mirror body, and is supported by the housing to be rotatable around a rotating axis along the first direction. The mirror body has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is located at a position overlapping the supported portion in a second direction crossing a thickness direction and the first direction of the mirror body. The second portion is located at a position different from the supported portion in the second direction. Rigidity per unit width of the first portion in the second direction is greater than rigidity per unit width of the second portion in the second direction.

Abstract: The head-up display includes an imaging position changer configured to change a position of a virtual image between a far visual position far from an observer and a near visual position close to the observer. The imaging position changer inclines the virtual image at the far visual position by a second inclination angle with respect to a perpendicular plane to a reference light beam reaching a center of a viewpoint region in which a viewpoint of the observer is located, to move an upper end thereof in a forward direction of the moving object, and inclines the virtual image at the near visual position by a first inclination angle smaller than the second inclination angle with respect to the perpendicular plane to the reference light beam, to move the upper end in the forward direction of the moving object.

Abstract: A video display system includes a display unit, a projection unit, and a display control unit. The display unit displays an image. The projection unit projects a virtual image onto a target space with outgoing light of the display unit. The display control unit shifts a projection position of the virtual image by changing at least one of a projection distance or an angle of depression. The projection distance is a distance from a viewpoint to the virtual image. The angle of depression is an angle from which the virtual image is viewed from the user's viewpoint. The display control unit changes the projection distance of the virtual image in accordance with a distance instruction and changes at least one of the projection distance or the angle of depression such that the virtual image is projected onto a displayable region of the target space.

The angle of depression is an angle from which the virtual image is viewed from the user's viewpoint.
