Abstract:
A composition is provided, including a gelling agent forming a solid medium, glycerol dispersed in the solid medium, and nicotine dispersed in the glycerol, the composition being a stable gel phase.
Abstract:
A sheet is provided including a cellulosic material including cellulose powder, a weight ratio of cellulose powder to total cellulosic material in the sheet on a dry weight basis being greater than about 1:2; and one or more nicotine salts, at least about 20% by weight of the one or more nicotine salts being monoprotic.
Abstract:
There is provided a smoking article that includes a plurality of elements, including a front-plug and an aerosol-forming substrate, assembled in contact with a cigarette paper to form a rod. The front-plug is located upstream from the aerosol-forming substrate. In use, a heating element is inserted into the smoking article and the aerosol-forming substrate is heated to generate an aerosol. When the heating element is subsequently withdrawn from the smoking article, the front-plug acts to retain the aerosol-forming substrate within the rod.
Abstract:
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including an aerosol-forming substrate; a support element located immediately downstream of the aerosol-forming substrate; an aerosol-cooling element located downstream of the support element; and an outer wrapper circumscribing the aerosol-forming substrate, the support element and the aerosol-cooling element. The support element abuts the aerosol-forming substrate. The aerosol-forming substrate is penetrable by a heating element of an aerosol-generating device.
Abstract:
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including a plurality of elements assembled in the form of a rod, the elements including an aerosol-forming substrate and an aerosol-cooling element located downstream from the aerosol-forming substrate. The aerosol-cooling element includes a plurality of longitudinally extending channels and has a porosity of between 50% and 90% in the longitudinal direction. The aerosol-cooling element may have a total surface area of between about 300 mm2 per mm length and about 1000 mm2 per mm length. An aerosol passing through the aerosol-cooling element is cooled, and in some embodiments, water is condensed within the aerosol-cooling element.
Abstract:
A nicotine particle delivery consumable article includes a receptacle having a body extending from a receptacle first end to an opposing receptacle second end and defining a cavity. A capsule is disposed within the cavity. The capsule contains particles including nicotine. The receptacle includes a membrane sealing the receptacle first end and an air outlet extending through the receptacle second end and into the cavity. An air inlet, close to the receptacle first end, extends through a side wall of the body and into the cavity.
Abstract:
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including a plurality of elements assembled in the form of a rod, the plurality of elements including an aerosol-forming substrate, and a mouthpiece filter located downstream from the aerosol-forming substrate within the rod. The aerosol-generating article further includes a volatile flavor-generating component disposed between the aerosol-forming substrate and the mouthpiece filter within the rod. In some embodiments, the volatile flavor-generating component is supported by a low resistance support element located between the aerosol-forming substrate and the mouthpiece filter. In some embodiments, the volatile flavor-generating component is menthol.
