摘要: A device is provided comprising a heat source material which is a phase change material and which undergoes an exothermic phase change upon activation by an activating agent to generate heat, a heat source chamber holding the heat source and an activation chamber providing the activating agent, and a barrier separating the interior of the heat source chamber from the interior of the activation chamber, wherein the activation chamber is deformable and wherein deformation of the activation chamber causes rupture of the barrier to allow contact between the activating agent and the heat source material. Embodiments also provide an activation chamber for use in the device and comprising an activating agent to trigger activation of a heat source material.

摘要: An aerosol-generating system is provided, including a nicotine source; a volatile delivery enhancing compound source downstream of the nicotine source and including an acid; heating means for heating the nicotine source; and a physically separate heat transfer barrier between the nicotine source and the volatile delivery enhancing compound source. The heating means is configured to heat the nicotine source to a temperature of between about 80° C. and about 150° C. The heat transfer barrier is configured so that the temperature of the volatile delivery enhancing compound source is less than about 50° C. when the nicotine source is heated to a temperature of between about 80° C. and about 150° C. by the heating means.

摘要: An exemplary liquid tank for an atomizer includes a bottom part, a liquid outlet, a first air inlet, a first porous liquid blocking element, and a top part. The bottom part has a first end and an opposite second end, and defines a liquid chamber for containing tobacco liquid. The liquid outlet is defined in the second end. The first air inlet is defined in the first end, so that external air can enter the liquid chamber via the first air inlet. The first porous liquid blocking element covers the first air inlet. The first porous liquid blocking element is capable of preventing the tobacco liquid in the liquid chamber from flowing out via the first air inlet, and allows air to pass through. The top part is detachably connected to the first end. The top part and the bottom part cooperatively clamp the first liquid blocking element therebetween.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.
