Abstract: An end piece (200) for positioning over a heat source (102) of an aerosol generating article (100) includes a body (210) defining a bore configured to receive the aerosol generating article and includes a cage (220) configured to surround at least a portion of the heat source and to allow air to access the heat source. The end piece also includes a stop (240) arranged to engage a distal end (105) of the heat source as the aerosol generating article is slid through the bore. The stop is configured to prevent the distal end of the heat source from being advanced beyond the cage. The end piece may optionally include a seal (230) extending from an inner surface of the cage downstream of the stop. The seal is arranged to surround and contact the aerosol article to limit volatile compounds released from the heat source during combustion from entering air drawn through the aerosol generating article.

Abstract: An aerosol-generating article (10) has a longitudinal extension and comprises aerosol-generating substrate (20, 21) extending along the longitudinal extension and susceptor material (30, 31) extending along the longitudinal extension. The aerosol-forming substrate (20, 21) and the susceptor material (30, 31) form an extrudate having a same cross-sectional shape along a length of the extrudate. Also disclosed is an aerosol-generating device, which comprises a device housing (70) comprising a support element (8) extending from a proximal end of the device housing (70). The support element (8) is adapted for receiving an aerosol-generating article (10, 12) comprising aerosol-forming substrate (20, 21) and susceptor material (30, 31). A mouthpiece (71) of the device comprises a cavity to accommodate the support element (8) including aerosol-generating article (10, 12) mounted on the support element (8). An inductor (703) may be inductively coupled to the susceptor material (30, 31) of the aerosol-generating article (10, 12) during use.

Abstract: A holder (200) for an aerosol generating article (100) includes a mouthpiece (106) having a mouth end and a distal end. The mouthpiece defines a passage (213) extending from the mouth end to the distal end. The passage is configured to receive the aerosol generating article inserted in a direction from the distal end towards the mouth end. The holder further includes a cage (220) extending from the mouthpiece and configured to surround at least a portion of a heat source (102) of the aerosol generating article and configured to allow air to access the heat source. The holder may also optionally include a seal (230) extending from an inner surface of the cage. The seal is arranged to surround and contact the aerosol generating article.
