The control system incorporates an electronic latch which is activated only after select initial ones of these operational events are carried out. Additionally, the control system incorporates a feature preventing an unwanted repetition of photographic cycles as a consequence of inadvertant continued depression of the start switch before and beyond the termination of a given photographic cycle.

    摘要: An adapter arrangement for use with a photographic flash firing circuit of a variety which monitors and senses the ignition of a flashlamp. Upon a successful such ignition, the firing circuit derives a unique output signal condition which is used for post exposure control purposes. The adapter arrangement permits such a circuit to be utilized for actuating an electronic flash unit or the like in place of typical flashlamps. To carry this out, an impedance having a resistance value closely related to that of an igniting flashlamp is incorporated in operational union with a switching arrangement. In one embodiment this impedance is combined with the winding of a relay. The relay serves to actuate the substitute lighting unit, while the resistive impedance serves to simulate the impedance of the igniting filament of a flashlamp. With the arrangement, therefore, the flash firing circuit is capable of developing a necessary unique output signal.

    摘要: A flash photographic control system for use within a highly automatic reflex camera of a variety utilizing a flash firing circuit in conjunction with a packaged array of flashlamps. The firing circuit ignites the flashlamps sequentially in a predetermined order from first to last. The control system is characterized in electrically isolating the firing circuit during portions of a photographic cycle during which it would otherwise be subjected to spurious signals or noise effects. Additionally, an arrangement is provided wherein the control system overrides the flash firing network under select scene conditions of high brightness.
