摘要： Phosgene is reacted with acrylates or methacrylates containing one hydroxyl group in the presence of an acid acceptor to form the novel bis-(acryloxyalkyl) carbonates of this invention. The product is highly radiation sensitive so that it may be polymerized by ionizing radiation and forms a coating which is hard and stain resistant.

摘要： This invention relates to acryloxy(or methacryloxy)alkyl(or alkyloxyalkyl) acryloxy(or methacryloxy)hydroxyalkyl organic polycarboxylic esters prepared by reacting an organic acid anhydride selected from the group consisting of trimellitic anhydride and pyromellitic anhydride with a hydroxyalkyl acrylate or methacrylate and then reacting this half-ester with a glycidyl acrylate or methacrylate. These compounds are useful in coating compositions and particularly coating compositions curable by radiation.
