On account of the method according to the invention, the visual appeal of the product may be influenced in a variety of ways. The visual impact may be significantly different from that of a smooth printed surface. On account of the combination of structuring and digital printing, in particular surfaces which display the impression of a non-sanded natural material (e.g. wood, slate, or similar) may be achieved.
