Abstract: A battery includes an electrode group, and a rectangular exterior casing that houses the electrode group and includes a tubular side wall, a bottom connected to a lower end of the side wall in a Z direction, and an opening provided at an upper end. An inner surface of the bottom of the exterior casing has a slope inclined with respect to a plane orthogonal to the Z direction. The electrode group is in thermal contact with the slope. The bottom may have a protrusion protruding inward in the Z direction of the exterior casing, and the slope may be formed on the protrusion.

Abstract: A power storage module includes: a plurality of power storage devices arranged in a first direction; and a separator provided between two adjacent power storage devices and insulating the two power storage devices from each other. The power storage device includes an exterior can that have an opening, a sealing plate that blocks the opening, and a joint part between the exterior can and the sealing plate. The separator includes a contact area that abuts a surface of the exterior can facing the first direction and a separation area that overlaps the joint part as viewed in the first direction and concaved with respect to the contact area in a direction away from the exterior can.

Abstract: A power storage module includes at least one power storage device, and a buffer member arranged with the power storage device in a first direction X. The buffer member includes a hard part having a predetermined hardness and a soft part softer than the hard part, the hard part and the soft part receiving a load in first direction X from the power storage device. The hard part changes its shape by receiving a load of a predetermined magnitude or more. The buffer member changes its state, by the hard part changing its shape, from a first state in which the load is received by the hard part to a second state in which the load is received by the soft part.

A first pressing part predetermined among the plurality of pressing parts provides a pressing force stronger than a pressing force provided by a second pressing part among the plurality of pressing parts, the second pressing part being closer to a fixing part fixing the battery stack and the binding member with respect to the first pressing part.
