Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element that includes an anode body being porous and including an anode substrate body and a dielectric layer formed on a surface of the anode substrate body, and a solid electrolyte layer covering at least part of the dielectric layer. The anode body has a plurality of principal faces. A surface of the anode body has a first region and a second region different from the first region, and the first region does not include a corner portion where a plurality of the principal faces meet. A surface roughness in the first region is greater than a surface roughness in the second region.

Abstract: A membrane-electrode assembly includes an electrolyte membrane, a pair of catalyst layers stacked on surfaces of the electrolyte membrane, and a pair of gas diffusion layers stacked on a side opposite to the electrolyte membrane of one of the pair of catalyst layers and on a side opposite to the electrolyte membrane of the other one of the catalyst layers. Abstract: Disclosed is a catalyst layer for a fuel cell that has good gas diffusion properties in the entire catalyst layer and in which coarsening of catalyst particles can be suppressed. The catalyst layer for a fuel cell includes fibrous conductive members and catalyst particles. The fibrous conductive members are inclined relative to the surface direction of the catalyst layer, and the length L of the fibrous conductive members and the thickness T of the catalyst layer satisfy the relational expression: L/T≤3. Each of the catalyst particles includes a core portion and a shell portion that covers the core portion, and contains a component different from that of the core portion.
