Abstract: There is provided a pouch-type battery that includes an exterior packaging member having an accommodating space in which an electrode and an electrolyte are accommodated and which has a curved shape at least in a first direction. The exterior packaging member includes a first film member on which a cup section having the accommodating space inside is provided, a second film member disposed to face the first film member, and a sealing section around the cup section, with which the first and second film members are bonded to each other and the accommodating space is sealed. A top surface of the cup section of the first film member has a curved shape and is provided with a plurality of concave portions or convex portions, and the sealing section has a curved shape in the first direction and is configured of a flat surface on which neither concave portion nor convex portion is provided.

Abstract: A thin pouch battery, which is used as a power source of a portable electronic apparatus, a portable electronic terminal, or the like, includes protrusions, into which an electrode group is inserted, formed in both a laminate film on the upper side and a laminate film on the lower side. Then, concentrically concave and convex wave shapes (concentric crest ridges or trough furrows) are formed on the top surface of each of the protrusions such that the protrusion can extend or shrink in any direction, or the protrusion has a side surface that is gradually inclined and a wave shape is formed on the side surface of the protrusion.

Abstract: Provided is a thin battery including: an electrode assembly; and a flexible housing configured to house the electrode assembly. The electrode assembly includes: a positive electrode in sheet form; a negative electrode in sheet form; and an electrolyte layer interposed therebetween. The electrolyte layer includes: a non-aqueous electrolyte; and a non-woven fabric sheet configured to retain the non-aqueous electrolyte. The non-woven fabric sheet includes a conjugated fiber including at least two kinds of macromolecules conjugated together. The at least two kinds of macromolecules include: a first macromolecule without a cross-linked structure; and a second macromolecule with a cross-linked structure.

Abstract: An aspect of the present invention relates to a cylindrical secondary battery including a bottomed cylindrical battery case having an opening, an electrode group, an electrolyte solution, the electrode group and the electrolyte solution being housed in the battery case, and a sealing member blocking the opening of the battery case. The electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator placed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and is formed by winding the positive electrode and the negative electrode with the separator therebetween. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode mix layer formed on at least one principal surface of the negative electrode current collector. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode mix layer formed on at least one principal surface of the positive electrode current collector. The separator includes an inner non-contact region which is located on the inner peripheral side of the electrode group and which has both surfaces that are in contact with none of the negative electrode mix layer and the positive electrode mix layer. The length of the inner non-contact region is 5% or more of the length of the separator in a winding direction of the electrode group. According to the present invention, a compact cylindrical battery with particularly excellent charge-discharge cycle characteristics in association with quick charge can be provided.

Abstract: A thin battery includes a sheet-like electrode assembly; a non-aqueous electrolyte with which the electrode assembly is impregnated; and a housing in a sealed manner. The electrode assembly includes a pair of first electrodes located at an outermost side of the electrode assembly, a second electrode interposed between the pair of first electrodes, and a separator disposed between each first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode includes a first current collector sheet and a first active material layer attached to one surface of the first current collector sheet. The second electrode includes a second current collector sheet and second active material layers attached to both surfaces of the second current collector sheet. A content x of the non-aqueous electrolyte per unit area of the first active material layer is larger than a content y of the non-aqueous electrolyte per unit area of the second active material layer.
