    Abstract: Disclosed is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including: a negative electrode that includes a negative electrode active material; a separator; a positive electrode that is provided to oppose the negative electrode with the separator interposed therebetween; and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode active material includes 3 mass % or more of a silicon-containing material. The silicon-containing material includes carbon composite particles. Each of the carbon composite particles includes a carbon phase and a silicon phase dispersed in the carbon phase. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a 5- or 6-membered sulfur-containing cyclic ester compound that has a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and a structure represented by —O—S(═O)n-O—, where n is 1 or 2.

    Abstract: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a graphite. The graphite has a BET specific surface area of 3 m2/g or less. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes a silyl compound represented by a formula (1): (R1R2R3Si—O)m-M=(O)n. In the formula (1), M is P, B or S, n is 0, 1 or 2, m is 2 or 3, and each of R1 to R3 is independently an alkyl group, a fluoroalkyl group, an alkenyl group, a fluoroalkenyl group, an aryl group, a fluoroaryl group, or a hydrogen atom.

    Abstract: A nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary cell according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode contains graphite having a BET specific surface area of 2 m2/g or less, and the nonaqueous electrolyte contains a cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride represented by formula (1) or formula (2). In the formula (1), n represents 0, 1, or 2, and R1 to R4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an aryl group. In the formula (2), R5 to R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an aryl group.

    Abstract: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material includes a lithium-transition metal composite oxide containing Ni, Mn, and Al, and the proportions of Ni, Mn, and Al in metal elements other than Li contained in the lithium-transition metal composite oxide are, respectively, Ni: 50 atm % or more, Mn: 10 atm % or less, and Al: 10 atm % or less.
