摘要: A method, device management server, Packet Data Network Gateway (PDN GW) and User Equipment (UE) for establishing a PDN connection having defined packet flow limitations from a UE to a PDN GW. When a misbehaving or malicious UE is operating in the Evolved Packet System (EPS), the invention enables the UE to retain a PDN connection with an EPS bearer open until the software in the UE has been updated. The server sends to the UE, a management object that includes a logic parameter (packet filters) for controlling a packet flow from the UE to the network, or a defined Access Point Name (APN) that enables the UE to obtain the packet filters from a PDN GW. In turn, the UE sends to the network, a request for a new PDN connection while requesting deactivation of any previously existing PDN connections. The UE transmits on the new PDN connection, only packets allowed by the logic parameter.

摘要: A network can handle access attempts by a mix of user equipments (UEs) that do and do not support multiple packet data network connections and do and do not support Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and access attempts from networks that do and do not support multiple PDN connections. A method of operating a Trusted Non-3GPP Access network with a 3GPP network involves an authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) proxy in the Trusted Non-3GPP Access network and a UE that supports multiple PDN connections, with the AAA proxy sending an indication to the UE that the network supports multiple PDN connections.

摘要: The present invention relates to a solution for handling handover of connections for a user equipment from a packet switch network to a circuit switched network. This is provided as a method implemented in a node and system. The method is provided in a telecommunications network (100) connecting user equipment, i.e. UE, (101) communicating wirelessly (111) with the network. The method comprising steps of detecting (301) that handover is required from a packet switched, i.e. PS, based network (102) to a circuit switched, i.e. CS, based network (103), initiating (302) in a source mobility management node (104) a single radio voice call continuity, i.e. SVRCC, initiating (303) a PS to PS handover for non-voice components with information about voice related parameters and a PS to CS handover indicator, executing (304) hand over, sending (305) an update to a serving gateway, i.e. SGW, (107) from a target mobility management node (105) with non-voice related parameters and the PS to CS handover indicator, forwarding (306) the update from the SGW to a packet data network gateway, i.e. PGW (108), receiving the update in the PGW, detecting the PS to CS handover indicator, and handling (307) in the PGW the PS to CS handover indicator.

摘要: Several different methods are described herein for reducing the setup time needed to establish a media flow (e.g., packet-based voice communications) between two devices (e.g., two GPRS UEs, GPRS UE/server, GPRS UE/WLAN UE). In one embodiment, the method minimizes the setup time for establishing IMS telephony using pre-provisioned resources—reserve at INVITE. In another embodiment, the method minimizes the setup time for establishing IMS telephony using pre-provisioned radio resources—reserve at ANSWER. In yet another embodiment, the method minimizes the setup time for establishing IMS telephony using pre-provisioned radio resources—reserve according to most demanding codec properties. All of these methods and in particular a UE and PS-CN may use the network initiated ISPCA method to reduce the setup time needed to assign packet-based bearers which are required to establish the media flow.

摘要: In a mobile network with a plurality of access networks (210, 220), a control node (110) which is controlling access of a user equipment (300) to that one of the access networks (210, 220) which is currently used by the user equipment (300) determines an access capability of the user equipment (300) in said access network (210, 220), e.g. support of voice communication over packet switched access. The control node (110) provides an indication of the determined access capability to a subscriber database (150) associated with the user equipment (300). The indication may then be retrieved from the subscriber database (150) and be used to control termination of a connection to the user equipment (300).

摘要: For separating data traffic in an uplink (UL) edge node (100) of a communication network, UL one or more packet filters (110) are provided in the UL edge node (100). The packet filters (110) identify data packets in UL traffic from the UL edge node (100). Gating data associated with the packet filters (110) are evaluated, e.g. to derive gating control signals (GC1, GC2, GC3) of the individual packet filters (110). Depending on the evaluation of the gating data, the identified data packets are discarded.
