Abstract: In a piston (1) for combustion engines are included a piston crown (2), a piston skirt (3) and portions (4A, 4B; 13) for receiving a piston pin (5) by means of which the piston is pivotally supported on a connection rod, whereby a protection (7) covering a major portion of a bottom side of the piston crown is supported on the piston pin. The protection is fitted in sealing engagement with a first inner portion of the piston skirt, forming an uninterrupted gap in relation to a main portion of the piston crown and with at least a portion of the protection being provided at a distance inside a second outer portion of the piston skirt.

Abstract: In an assembly (1) for a combustion engine, consisting of a piston (2) and a connecting rod (17), the piston includes a piston crown (3), a piston skirt (4) and portions (10, 14) for accommodating a piston pin (6) through which the piston is intended to be supported on the connecting rod. The piston skirt has a completely closed bottom part (15) and in its portion for accommodating the piston pin has apertures (16) sealing against the piston pin but otherwise completely encloses a bottom part (12) of the piston crown as well as the piston crown portion (10) for accommodating the piston pin. The connecting rod further has a fork shape in its end (19) facing the piston. A piston and a connecting rod, respectively, for use in such an assembly are likewise provided.

Abstract: An assembly for a combustion engine may include a piston and a connecting rod. The piston may include a piston crown, a piston skirt, and respective portions for accommodating a piston pin through which the piston is intended to be supported on the connecting rod. The piston skirt may have a completely closed bottom part and apertures may be provided in the portion for accommodating the piston pin. The apertures may seal against the piston pin to enclose a bottom part of the piston crown as well as the piston crown portion for accommodating the piston pin. The connecting rod may have a fork shape in an end facing the piston.
