摘要： An outer surface sheet (1) for absorbent articles, such as diapers, incontinence protectors or sanitary napkins, and comprises at least one upstanding barrier flap (5, 6) which extends across at least a part of the surface sheet. The surface sheet includes at least two parts (7, 8, 9) which are disposed to that bordering edge portions overlap each other. The barrier flap (5, 6) is comprised of a strip of elastic material that has two long edge portions and two end edge portions, wherein one of the long edge portions of said strip is inserted in a stretched state between the mutually overlapping edge portions of the two surface sheet parts (7, 8 and 7, 9 respectively) and firmly secured there-between.

摘要： The present invention relates to a disposable absorbent article, such as a diaper or an incontinence guard, which includes an inner liquid-permeable casing sheet (1), which lies the closest to the wearer's body when the article is in use, an outer liquid-impermeable casing sheet (2), and an absorbent body (3) which is enclosed between the two casing sheets. According to the invention, the absorbent pad (3) includes, at least in the region thereof which forms the crotch part when the article is worn, a hose-like body (5) which is made of a shape-stable material and which is highly permeable to liquid. The hose-like body is positioned centrally and extends in the longitudinal direction of the article and borders on the inner casing layer and is surrounded by absorbent material (4, 6) at least on the side thereof remote from the inner casing sheet.

摘要： An absorbent article, particularly a diaper, has a central absorbent unit (1) which is comprised of an elongated absorbent body (2) enclosed between a liquid-permeable inner casing sheet (3) which lies proximal to the wearer in use, and a liquid-impermeable, outer casing sheet (4) which lies distal from the wearer in use. The absorbent unit is provided along its longitudinal edges (9) with liquid-impermeable folds (6) which are upstanding from the inner casing sheet and which form side-leakage barriers. The article has a side-flap (18) on each side of the absorbent unit (1). The side-flaps (18), optionally with associated edge (21, 23), are produced in the form of rectangular strips (10) completely separated from the absorbent unit (1) and are thereafter jointed thereto. A longitudinally extending edge-part (13) of each strip (10) is suitably folded double and the backwardly fold part (19) is joined to the outer casing sheet (3a, 4b or 4) of the absorbent unit (1)along a curved fastening line (21). When the aper is to be used, the side-flaps (18) are pulled-out laterally, the length of this extension, and therewith the width of the resulting side-flaps (18), being dependent on the curved shape of the fastening line (21). It is therewith possible to produce a curved contour (16) of the diaper for conforming to the wearer's legs with side-flaps (18) which originally have straight edges (11) The material from which the side-flaps (18) are made can be chosen quite independently of the inner and the outer casing sheets (3, 4), so as to avoid irritation of the wearer's skin while still fitting closely to the wearer's legs.

摘要： A male incontinence guard includes an inner, liquid permeable casing layer; an outer, liquid impermeable casing layer; an absorbent pad having a first end and enclosed between said layers so as to include a first side edge on one side of said pad and a second side edge on an opposite side of said pad; said absorbent pad narrows at the first end; a first elastic device attached in a prestretched state to the inner casing layer and extends from the first end along at least a part of said first side edge; and a second elastic device attached in a prestretched state to the inner casing layer and extends from the first end along at least a part of said second side edge; said elastic devices arranged such that contraction of said elastic devices causes said inner casing layer at the first end of said pad to take a concave shape and said outer casing layer at said first end of said pad to take a convex shape. The absorbent pad is narrower than said inner and outer casing layers so that said absorbent pad does not extend into said side edges, and said elastic devices are attached between said inner and outer casing layers. The absorbent pad is substantially triangular in shape.
