Glassine paper stock is unwound from a roll, coated with photo-cationic silicone and exposed to wavelength-controlled illumination to cure. Hot melt adhesive is applied over the silicone. Simultaneously, label stock is fed with the coated glassine paper to laminating rollers where the two are joined. Illumination is provided by a dichroic reflector.

摘要： A method of and apparatus for forming a continuous structure includes the steps of preselecting a liquid reactive resin forming material, a particulate solid additive material and a porous blanket, mixing and encapsulating the additive particles with the liquid resin forming material while tumbling the materials along a cylindrical mixing chamber. The leading edge of the structure is grasped with a gripping device along its entire length and advanced over a horizontal supporting surface. Once a desired length has been formed a cutting device cuts the structure and the cut portion is placed into a final configuration while flexible and adhesive.

摘要： A three dimensional cellular shade 20 attached to a roller. The cells 28 of the shade expand outward as the shade is unrolled. The shade is made from two sheets of fabric. One of the fabrics is decorative 24, the other fabric 22 is more functional. The decorative fabric 24 is longer in length than the functional fabric 22. The two fabrics are joined together along a plurality of joints 26 extending down the length of the shade. These joints are uniformly displaced from one another. The ratio of decorative fabric to functional fabric between any two joints is greater than one. This ratio is important for ensuring that the cells will expand outward as the shade is unrolled.

摘要： A method for coating cloth especially fiberglass sheets with a resin and resulting structure is provided. The coating is performed in two steps. In the first step, essentially all of the strands of the fiberglass are coated with the resin solvent mixture as well as most of the interstices or openings, although some of the interstices or openings have holes where the coating does not completely fill in. This first coating is then partially cured to the extent that it will not redissolve in a second coating of the same resin solution. The coated fiberglass with partially cured resin thereon is then given a second coating of the same resin mixture which coats the first coating and fills in any holes in the first coating. This second coating is then partially cured, which advances the cure of the first coating and results in an impregnated fiberglass cloth structure for use as sticker sheets. This substantially reduces pinholing.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for bonding a laminate formed of at least two layers of sheet material superimposed on one another with adhesive therebetween and moved along a path. The apparatus includes a first laminator having an upper plate assembly having a first low-friction laminate-contacting surface for contacting a first layer of the laminate, and an upper heat exchanger thermally coupled to the upper plate assembly. The first laminator also includes a lower plate assembly having a second low-friction laminate-contacting surface for contacting a second layer of the laminate, wherein the first and second laminate-contacting surfaces are disposed in opposed relationship for accommodating passage of the layers of the laminate therebetween, and a lower heat exchanger thermally coupled to the lower plate assembly. The first laminator further includes a drive member coupled to at least one of the laminate-contacting surfaces for varying the distance between the surfaces to apply pressure to the layers of the laminate. The apparatus may also include a second laminator downstream of the first laminator and substantially identical to the first laminator. The heat exchangers of the first and second laminators can both be used for heating or cooling, or one for cooling and one for heating, depending upon the application.
