    摘要： An absorbent article is disclosed having a refastenable mechanism. The absorbent article has a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion. The crotch portion connects the front portion to the back portion. The front portion has a first end, a second end, a first side edge and a second side edge. First and second lateral sections are releasably attached to the front portion and each of the first and second lateral sections has an outer edge. The back portion has first and second side edges and first and second ends. The back portion is divided into a first section and a second section. The first section has a length L2 measured perpendicularly from the first end of the back portion to a line drawn parallel thereto. The second section has a length L3 measured perpendicularly from the second end of the back portion to the line drawn parallel to the first end whereby a ratio L2/L3 is established which ranges from between about 0.1 to about 2. The absorbent article further includes an absorbent secured to at least one of the front, back or crotch portions. Each of the outer edges of the first and second lateral sections of are secured to one of the first and second side edges of the back portion to form a pant-like article having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.

    摘要： The invention relates to an absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin, an incontinence guard or a panty-liner, which article has a generally elongated shape with a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction and exhibits two long sides, two short sides, two end portions and a central portion, located between the end portions, and exhibiting a transversely extending cross-sectional line from which the width of the article increases in a direction towards a short side of the article, whereby the end portion located at the short side exhibits a maximum width which is larger than the width of the central portion, whereby the article changes inclination at the cross-sectional line, whereby the inclination is defined by an angle between the long side of the article and a longitudinal line parallel to the longitudinal direction of the article, which article exhibits a width of the central portion which has an upper limit of 60 mm, and an angle of 30-90°, and the article has a stiffness, at least in the front portion, which exceeds 100 N measured according to ASTM D 4032-82.

Mounted in the fold (20, 20', 21, 21') are mutually spaced elastic elements (32, 32', 33, 33') which are fastened to respective end parts (27, 27', 28, 28') of the fold on respective sides of fold lines (24, 25) which depart from the upper casing layer (1) of the article, although these elastic elements (32, 32', 33, 33') are freely moveable in the intermediate part (29, 29') of the fold. The end-parts (27, 27', 28, 28') of the fold are joined to the upper casing layer (1) in a flat, permanently down-pressed state, whereas the intermediate fold part (29, 29') is forcibly lifted vertically by the action of the elastic elements (32, 32', 33, 33') as the article is fitted to the wearer and consequently curved, so as to form leakage barriers along the side edges and/or the end edges (4-7) of the article.

    摘要： A disposable absorbent article, such as a diaper or an incontinence guard, includes an inner liquid-permeable casing sheet which is positioned nearest the body of the wearer when the article is worn, an outer liquid-permeable casing sheet, and an absorbent pad enclosed between the inner and outer casing sheets. The absorbent pad includes, at least in the crotch part of the article, a hose-like body that is comprised of a shape-stable material having a very high liquid permeability. The hose-like body is generally centrally positioned in the article and extends in the longitudinal direction of the article. The hose-like body borders on the inner casing sheet and is surrounded by absorbent material on at least the side thereof remote from the inner casing sheet. The article can also include liquid barriers positioned on respective sides of the hose-like body.
