摘要: Example systems and methods of managing applications are described. In one implementation, a load balancer receives a request to start an instance of an application. An orchestrator receives application code associated with the instance of the application and selects a virtual machine template based on the application code. The orchestrator provisions a virtual machine associated with the instance of the application using the virtual machine template. Additionally, the orchestrator notifies the load balancer that the virtual machine is available to start the instance of the application.

摘要: Example systems and methods of implementing an abstraction layer for a file repository are presented. In one example, an access request to retrieve an electronic file is received from a requesting device. The request includes an identification of a first storage location in the file repository. In response to the request, the first storage location of the file repository is searched for the electronic file. If the search is successful, the electronic file is retrieved from the file repository at the first storage location. If the search is unsuccessful, a redirection file is accessed in the file repository. The redirection file includes an identification of a second storage location for the electronic, file at a storage site external to the file repository. The electronic file is retrieved from the storage site based on the indication of the second storage location. The retrieved file is transmitted to the requesting device.

In this method, a file access request specifying a file node to be accessed by way of a file system is received at a server from a client device. A counter is referenced to identify that the file node is being accessed in response to a different file access request. The counter is configured to track whether the file node is being accessed. The file node is provided to the client device when the counter indicates a termination of access to the file node resulting from the different file access request.

The application server instances each include a dispatcher, a plurality of redundant server nodes, and a socket connection between the dispatcher and each of the server nodes for handling communications relating to processing a client request. A separate socket connection between the message server and each of the server nodes is provided for handling internal communications between the server nodes. Additionally, a third socket connection may be established directly between server nodes.

摘要: Embodiments include a timeout event management system that registers timeout events and checks for and corrects inaccuracies in timing caused by hibernation or system time changes. The timeout event management system may trigger an event after an intended delay time or at an intended expiration time. A handler program may be called in response to the triggered timeout. In an additional embodiment, the timeout system may track timeout events in a priority queue data structure.
