摘要: Three dimensional [3D] image data and auxiliary graphical data are combined for rendering on a 3D display (30) by detecting depth values occurring in the 3D image data, and setting auxiliary depth values for the auxiliary graphical data (31) adaptively in dependence of the detected depth values. The 3D image data and the auxiliary graphical data at the auxiliary depth value are combined based on the depth values of the 3D image data. First an area of attention (32) in the 3D image data is detected. A depth pattern for the area of attention is determined, and the auxiliary depth values are set in dependence of the depth pattern.

摘要: A three dimensional [3D] video signal (41) is provided for transferring to a 3D destination device (50). Depth metadata is determined indicative of depths occurring in the 3D video data, which depth metadata includes a near value indicative of depths of video data nearest to a user. The 3D video signal, which comprises the 3D video data, now also includes the depth metadata. The 3D destination device (50) is enabled to retrieve the depth metadata, to provide auxiliary data, and to position the auxiliary data at an auxiliary depth in dependence of the retrieved metadata for displaying the auxiliary data in combination with the 3D video data such that obscuring the auxiliary data by said nearest video data, and/or disturbing effects at the boundary of the auxiliary data, is avoided.

The device has generating means (52) for generating an output signal for transferring the video data via a high-speed digital interface like HDMI to a 3D display, which selectively generate a 3D display signal for displaying the 3D video data on a 3D display operative in a 3D mode, a 2D display signal for displaying 2D video data on the 3D display operative in a 2D mode, or a pseudo 2D display signal by including 2D video data in the output signal for displaying the 2D video data on the 3D display operative in the 3D mode. Processing means (53) detect a request to display 2D video data on the 3D display, while the 3D display is operative in the 3D mode, and, in response to the detection, the generating means are set to generate the pseudo 2D display signal for maintaining the 3D mode of the 3D display.

摘要: A three dimensional [3D] video signal (41) is provided for transferring to a 3D destination device (50). Depth metadata is determined indicative of depths occurring in the 3D video data, which depth metadata includes a near value indicative of depths of video data nearest to a user. The 3D video signal, which comprises the 3D video data, now also includes the depth metadata. The 3D destination device (50) is enabled to retrieve the depth metadata, to provide auxiliary data, and to position the auxiliary data at an auxiliary depth in dependence of the retrieved metadata for displaying the auxiliary data in combination with the 3D video data such that obscuring the auxiliary data by said nearest video data, and/or disturbing effects at the boundary of the auxiliary data, is avoided.

摘要: A content distribution system (300) has access control according to a predefined data access format. The system has organizations (32) for providing content data and related meta data on record carriers (34), and a rendering device (39), and applications for manipulating the content data and related meta data. An access policy for the organization is set according to the predefined data access format, and has access parameters for controlling access to resources of the rendering device and to said content data and related meta data. An organization application (35) complying with the access policy of the organization for accessing said data is executed while accessing the resources of the rendering device according to the access policy of the organization. According to the invention a user access policy is maintained that restricts, for the organization application, access to the resources of the rendering device relative to the access policy of the organization. The user access policy is adjusted based on additional trust data for selectively allowing the organization application to access the resources according to the access policy of the organization. Hence the user controls the access that applications have to resources of the rendering device.
