摘要: In one embodiment, an electronic display assembly includes a circuit board and a plurality of display facets. Each display facet is coupled to one side of the circuit board. Each display facet includes a plurality of display pixels. Each display facet includes a selectable display resolution from a plurality of display resolutions. Each display facet is individually addressable such that the plurality of display facets are configurable to provide heterogeneous display resolutions. The circuit board includes a plurality of facet locations. Each particular facet location is configured to transmit signals to a particular display facet that is electrically coupled to the particular facet location, thereby displaying light on the particular display facet at a particular selected display resolution.

摘要: To generate a warning that a stereoscopic image sequence has been synthesised from a 2D image sequence, a video processor correlates left-eye image data and right-eye image data to identify any sustained temporal offset between the left-eye and right-eye image data. A measure of sustained correlation between a measured spatial distribution of horizontal disparity and a spatial model can also be used to generate the warning.

Disclosed herein is an information processing apparatus connected to a video display apparatus worn on the head of the user displays a target image to be updated in conjugation with a change in the direction of the video display apparatus onto the video display apparatus and, at the same time, displays an enlarged image obtained by enlarging a part of the target image by superimposing the enlarged image on the target image with a size smaller than a display area of the target image.

摘要: An image processing method to obtain a high sense of depth or high stereoscopic effect for an image and a display device utilizing the method are provided. Image data of an image is separated into image data of a plurality of objects and a background. A feature amount is obtained from the image data of each object, so that the objects are identified. The relative distance between viewer's eye and any of the objects is determined by the data of the sizes of the objects in the image and the sizes of the objects stored in the database. The image data of each object is processed so that an object with a shorter relative distance is enlarged. The image data of each object after image processing is combined with the image data of the background, so that a sense of depth or stereoscopic effect of an image is increased.

摘要: A method for operating a set-top-box that supports 3D video content is disclosed. The method involves transmitting video content from an HDMI port of the set-top-box to a display device at a first resolution. The method also involves, in response to a change in the HDMI_Video_Format field or in the 3D_Structure field of an HDMI Vendor Specific InfoFrame, automatically switching to transmitting video content from the HDMI port of the set-top-box at a second resolution. The method also involves, after the switch to the second resolution, automatically switching back to transmitting video content from the HDMI port of the set-top-box at the first resolution in order to trigger a re-sync operation at the display device.

摘要: A method and a system for providing a viewport division scheme for VR video streaming are disclosed. A projection area of VR video is obtained. The projection area is divided into a plurality of grid blocks. A core area is defined in the projection area and divided into a plurality of core blocks. A plurality of viewport blocks are obtained by combining the core blocks. A mapping relationship between the plurality of viewport blocks and the grid blocks is established. The plurality of viewport blocks are related to a user's field of view. The plurality of viewport blocks are obtained in accordance with a mapping table. The video data is processed by different methods for a viewport area and a non-viewport area to have a better viewing experience.
