Abstract: Systems and methods are described that implement a tool chain which receives original software source code, analyzes the code and divides the code into modules that run optimally on the available heterogeneous resources. For example, the toolchain system segments original source code into code segments, and determine the specialized processor resource, such as a digital signal processing (DSP) processor, Field Programming Gate Array (FPGA), Graphical Processing Unit (GPU), and the like, that most optimally performs computations of the particular code segment. A parsing engine determines the processor of the heterogenous resources, based on a set of rules and/or a trained classifier (e.g., a trained machine learning model). New code segments can be generated that can be executed on the determined type of processor. Further, the system enables application programming interfaces (APIs) that can interface the new code segment with other generated code segments and/or some portions of the original code.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein can provide a thermal interface for an electronic device including: obtaining an enclosure and a circuit within the enclosure, wherein the circuit is disposed within the enclosure such that there is space between the circuit and an internal surface of the enclosure; and positioning a thermally conductive material in the space between the circuit and an internal surface of the enclosure such that the thermally conductive material is in physical contact with an outer surface of the circuit and the internal surface of the enclosure to provide heat transfer from the circuit to the enclosure.

Abstract: Embodiments can provide a shutter assembly to improve heat transfer for an electronic component within an enclosure, the shutter assembly including: a shutter body comprising a distal end, a proximal end, a back surface and a flat facing surface extending from the distal end at an angle relative to the back surface, wherein the flat facing surface is configured to contact a surface of a connector body inserted within a base chassis within the enclosure to transfer heat from the connector body to the enclosure; and a spring mechanism coupled to the shutter body to apply rotational force on the shutter body to cause the flat facing surface of the shutter body to contact the surface of the connector body when the connector body is inserted in the enclosure to thereby conduct heat from the connector body to the enclosure.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are directed to a Swappable Retractable Tool Tip (SRTT), which is designed as a next generation of friction stir welding tools and retractable tool tips. The disclosed SRTT may be “swappable,” having different types of retractable tool tips that can be assembled and employed as a part of the SRTT. A SRTT system can include at least: a blank tool holder, a piston, and a retractable tool tip. In operation, the blank tool holder allows air to flow to cause movement of the piston and the retractable tool tip. For example, compressed air can push up on the piston and the retractable tool tip, retracting it into a “home” position inside of the blank tool holder. Also, the SRTT can include springs that push down on the piston and the retractable tool tip, extending the tip into an “extended” position outside of the blank tool holder.

Abstract: A vibrorotational fluid flow actuator includes: a first vibrorotational component comprising a first body including an axis, a plurality of first legs extending from a bottom surface of first body in a direction of and at an angle to the axis, and a plurality of first blades extending from a respective side of the first body in a direction perpendicular to the axis, wherein when the first vibrorotational component is placed on a chassis, vibration of the chassis induces rotation of the body such that the blades and body rotate about the axis of the body thereby inducing fluid flow in a fluid surrounding the actuator.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for tunable band pass filtering for Tunable RF Anti-Jamming Systems. A tunable notch filter includes a transmission line coupled to an antenna, a splitter, a band-stop filter, a polarity inverter, and a combiner. In operation, the band-stop filter suppresses predetermined frequency bands of a received signal creating a filtered signal, the polarity inverter creates an inverted signal, and the combiner combines the filtered and inverted signals to create a pass band including the predetermined frequency bands and suppressing frequency bands adjacent the predetermined frequency bands. Alternatively, a tunable multiband bandpass filter includes first and second bandpass filters and a plurality of tunable passive components adapted to tune the first and second bandpass filters to first and second frequency bands, thereby creating a multiband pass band signal including the first and second frequency bands and attenuating frequency bands adjacent to the first and second frequency bands.
