    摘要: Spectrographic measurements are often limited by the amount of light that is available. Photons that are not collected or measured reduce the signal to noise and therefore reduce measurement precision. This invention collects the zero order light and sends it through the spectrometer again. In an atmospheric LIDAR, the zero order recycling is estimated to increase the rotational Raman signal by an additional 20%. A grating based spectrometer where the zero order light is collected by a lens or mirror and focused into a fiber optic that sends the light to the input slit where it is directed into the spectrometer again. There can be a plurality of recycle fibers. The detector can be either a single linear array or a two dimensional array such as a CCD or CMOS camera.

    摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for detecting weather conditions at a LiDAR sensor level. In some aspects, a method includes calculating a reference probability mass function (PMF) of at least one field of a point cloud generated from reference scene responses received from a light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensor; calculating a current PMF for the at least one field of the point cloud generated from a current scene response received from the LiDAR sensor; determining a statistical difference between the reference PMF and the current PMF using a Kullbeck-Leibler (KL) divergence calculation; and responsive to the statistical difference satisfying a threshold for the at least one field, flagging an environmental change in the current scene response.

    摘要: Disclosed is in the present disclosure a dynamic compensation wind measurement lidar system, including a laser, an A/D converter, a signal processor, and a data processor. The signal processor includes a power spectrum calculation module, a motion sensor, and a pulse integration module. The pulse integration module divides an optical pulse transmitted in a single beam period into n sections for integration, where real-time motion and attitude data collected by the motion sensor is added to each of the sections for integration to improve a signal-to-noise ratio by integrating a power spectral density for a plurality of periodic pulse signals. In the present disclosure, by means of integrating optical pulses in single-beam dwell time by sections and attitude superimposing, an attitude compensation frequency may be greatly increased, and the attitude compensation frequency is adjustable.

    摘要: A method is provided for supporting flight operations of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft in an urban air mobility (UAM) environment that includes a vertiport. The method includes accessing first observed weather data obtained by sensors located on-site at the vertiport and second observed weather data obtained by sensors onboard VTOL aircraft. A data fusion is performed to integrate the first observed weather data and the second observed weather data to produce a collection of weather data that describes the weather in an environment of the vertiport, and an environment of the VTOL aircraft. And a weather map is produced based on the collection of weather data, the weather map illustrating one or more meteorological features of the weather in the environment of the vertiport and/or the VTOL aircraft, the weather map produced for use in supporting flight operations of the VTOL aircraft.
