摘要： A method of associating an image with a contact record on a mobile device. The contact record is displayed in a user interface and the user selects an image file for association with the contact record. The selected image is rendered and overlaid with a cropping shape. The image is cropped in accordance with a position of the cropping shape to produce a sub-image, which is then encoding in accordance with a predefined image format to produce a sub-image file, and stored in association with the contact record.

If it is determined that the file size exceeds a maximum file size and the encoding parameter does not meet a threshold, the encoding parameter is modified.
