    Abstract: An optical sensing system comprising: a processing circuit; an optical sensor, configured to sense first optical data respectively in first sensing time intervals; and a TOF (Time of Flight) optical sensor, configured to sense second optical data respectively in second sensing time intervals. The processing circuit computes a distance between a first object and the optical sensing system according to the second optical data. The first sensing time intervals do not overlap with the second sensing time intervals.

    Abstract: A connected component analysis (CCA) method, which can use labels repeatedly, comprising: defining a label pattern comprising a label and a plurality of neighboring labels; setting a center label of a current pixel of a target binary image according to a binary value of the current pixel and the neighboring pixels; setting at least two of the neighboring labels according to whether the current pixel is in any one of a first row, a first column and a last column; and recording the center label to a label buffer.     Abstract: A security camera with a motion detection function, which comprises: an image sensor, configured to capture original images; a variation level computation circuit, configured to compute image variation levels of the original images; a long term computation circuit, configured to calculate a first average level for the image variation levels corresponding to M of the original images; a short term computation circuit, configured to calculate a second average level for the image variation levels corresponding to N of the original images, wherein M>N; and a motion determining circuit, configured to determine whether a motion of an object appears in a detection range of the image sensor according to a relation between the first average level and the second average level. By such security camera, the interference caused by noise or small object can be avoided. Accordingly, the motion detection of the security camera can be more accurate.

    Abstract: An object detection method of effectively increasing identification accuracy is applied to a camera apparatus and includes acquiring a reference image and a second reference image containing a specific surveillance area respectively via a first exposure parameter and a second exposure parameter greater than the first exposure parameter, utilizing the first exposure parameter and the second exposure parameter to respectively capture a first detection image and a second detection image during an object detection period, computing a first pixel value variation between the first reference image and the first detection image and a second pixel value variation between the second reference image and the second detection image, and comparing the first pixel value variation with the second pixel value variation to determine whether a target object is within the specific surveillance area.

    Abstract: A computer readable recording medium storing at least one program, wherein an image pattern determining method for determining a stripe image can be performed when the program is executed. The image pattern determining method comprises: (a) classifying a single target image to a plurality of image blocks, wherein each of the image blocks comprises at least one pixel; (b) calculating pixel differences between pixel value sums of at least one of the image blocks and neighboring image blocks of the image block; (c) calculating image variation levels of each of the image blocks in a plurality of directions according to the pixel differences; and (d) determining whether the single target image comprises the strip image or not according to the image variation levels. An image pattern determining method for determining a check board image is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A method for dynamically setting a scale for performing a cross-correlation check between a reference image and a comparison image of a mouse includes: setting a plurality of scale sizes for a cross-correlation check; providing a look up table (LUT) mapping the plurality of scale sizes to a plurality of overlapped areas of the reference image and comparison image and a plurality of predicted locations for the cross-correlation; determining a velocity of motion of the mouse, and using the determined velocity to generate a predicted location; inputting the predicted location to the LUT and mapping to a scale size; and performing the cross-correlation check according to the scale size.
