A device may determine a multi-link communication with a first multi-link device comprising two or more links associated with two or more station devices (STAs) included in the first multi-link device. The device may determine a first medium access control (MAC) address associated with a first link of the two or more links. The device may determine a second MAC address associated with a second link of the two or more links. The device may generate one or more pairwise security keys to be used in the multi-link communication on the two or more links. The device may cause to send a frame to the first multi-link device using at least one combination of the one or more pairwise security keys.

A multi-link device (MLD) may establish a first communication link between a first device of the MLD and a first device of a second MLD, and a second communication link between a second device of the MLD and a second device of the second MLD. The MLD may generate a group-addressed message. The MLD may protect the group-addressed message using a first key or a first integrity key. The MLD may protect the group-addressed message using a second key or a second integrity key. The MLD may send, using the first communication link, the group-addressed message protected using the first key or the first integrity key, and may send, using the second communication link, the group-addressed message protected using the second key or the second integrity key.

An MLD device may set up one or more links with a station multi-link device (STA MLD), wherein the STA MLD comprises one or more logical entities defining separate station devices. The MLD device may transmit a data packet associated with a traffic identifier (TID) to the STA MLD. The MLD device may determine that the data packet was not received by the STA MLD. The MLD device may retransmit the data packet to the STA MLD. The MLD device may increment a retransmit counter every time the data packet is retransmitted. The MLD device may refrain from transmitting a second data packet until the data packet is dropped or successfully received by the STA MLD.

A device may determine a non-continuous RU allocation for one or more devices in a 80 MHz bandwidth including four 20 MHz channels, the non-continuous RU allocation including disabled tones of a 20 MHz channel of the four 20 MHz channels, and the disabled tones being a subset of tones within the 20 MHz channel. The device may determine a high efficiency wireless frame comprising an indication of the non-continuous RU allocation. The device may send the high efficiency wireless frame to one or more multiple devices.
