摘要: Values are grouped into a first set of groupings of values. Based on inner codes, the number of groupings in the first set of groupings that have at least one erroneous value is determined. If the number of groupings in the first set of groupings that have an erroneous value is fewer than a maximum number of groupings that can be corrected by outer codes, a seek operation is begun. During the seek operation, the outer codes are used to detect and correct the erroneous values that were produced during the reading of values. In other aspects, a parity section for a data section of a data storage device is dirtied before writing any data to the data section such that if writing to the data section is interrupted, the parity section will indicate that it should not be used to correct data read from the data section.

摘要: A method and system for filtering a candidate document in a candidate document set are provided. The method includes receiving one or more entity word—topic word pairs and identifying one or more entity words of the candidate document and topic words. The method also includes determining whether to add the candidate document into a filtered document set using the entity words and topic words in the given entity word—topic word pairs and the identified entity words and topic words in the candidate document. The method further includes adding the candidate document into a filtered document set in response to determining that the candidate document should be added into the filtered document set.

摘要: Methods, and systems for migrating personality of a computing environment from a source machine platform to a target machine platform through a CIM-based system management infrastructure. A system includes: database wherein migration rules of CIM objects between a plurality of platforms are recorded; and migration tool for implementing migration according to the migration rules in the database, which includes: migration rule extractor, CIM object extractor, migration task producer and migration task executor. The extractor extracts CIM objects related to personality of the computing environment from source machine platform according to migration rule extracted from the database by rule extractor, and extracts from the target machine platform objects corresponding to the extracted CIM objects of the source machine platform. The migration task producer generates the migration tasks according to extracted migration rules. The migration task executor executes generated migration tasks on the CIM objects of the target platform.

摘要: A multi-queue memory system is configured to operate in a packet mode. Each packet includes a SOP (start of packet) marker and an EOP (end of packet) marker. A packet status bit (PSB), is used to implement the packet mode. The packet status bit enables partial packet write and partial packet read operations, such that a queue switch can be performed in the middle of packet write or packet read operations. The packet status bit also enables data filtering to be performed between an activated EOP marker and a subsequently received SOP marker (i.e., between the end of one packet and the start of the next packet). Packet mark and re-write and packet mark and re-read operations are also enabled.

摘要: Path-based ranking of unvisited Web pages for WWW crawling is provided, via identifying all the paths beginning with a “seed” URL and leading to visited relevant web pages as “good-path set”, and for each unvisited web page, identifying the paths beginning from the “seed” URL leading to it as “partial-path set”; classifying all the visited web pages and labeling each web Page with the labels of a class or classes it belongs to; training a statistic model for generalizing the common patterns among all ones of “good-path set”; and evaluating the “partial-path set” with the statistic model and ranking the unvisited web pages with the evaluation results.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for the synchronization of data elements between structured documents that utilize these data elements in the management of information technology systems and data repositories from which the data elements can be obtained. Synchronization is facilitated by the use of an active data model containing model elements associated with the data elements and containing sufficient information for the synchronization. These active data models can be created specifically for a given structured document, created by modifying a generic active data model or created as a composite of existing active data models. Synchronization updates are obtained from a central trusted data source or, using a coordination adaptor, from alternative data sources having the desired level of trust. The active data models can be decomposed into adaptive business objects that are used in the management of the information technology system.
