摘要: The subsea intervention system (SIM) includes a BOP module 10 and CT module 20. A tool positioning system 76 is used for positioning a selected subsea tool 22 stored within a rack 18 with a tool axis in line with the BOP axis, while a marinized coiled string injector 80 is moved by positioning system 81 to an inactive position. Power to the subsea electric motors 162 is supplied by an electrical line umbilical extending from the surface for powering the pumps 164, with the hydraulic system controlled by power control unit 198. The injector 80 preferably includes a pressure compensator roller bearing 220 and a pressure compensated drive system case 254.

摘要: A tubing injector (10) includes a traction device (12) having opposed grippers (14) laterally moveable so as to move a respective chain link member (16) of an endless loop chain into gripping engagement with the coiled tubing. A drive motor (11) is provided for powering the endless loop chain, and a plurality of roller bearings (20) each act between a respective chain link member and a gripper. A pressure compensating device (30) subjects fluid in a fluid passageway in the roller bearing (20) to a fluid pressure functionally related to subsea pressure. The tubing injector may be used for injecting the coiled tubing subsea into a wellhead or into another flowline.

摘要: Electrosurgical system and related methods that include: producing energy by a generator of an electrosurgical controller, the generator comprises a first terminal coupled to a first electrode of an electrosurgical wand, and the generator comprises a second terminal coupled to a second electrode of the electrosurgical wand; forming, responsive to the energy, a plasma proximate to the first electrode, and acting as a current return by the second electrode; reducing energy output of the generator such that the plasma proximate the first electrode is extinguished, the reducing energy output during periods of time when the electrosurgical controller is commanded to produce energy; producing energy from the generator with the first terminal coupled to the first electrode and the second terminal coupled to the second electrode; and forming, responsive to the energy, a plasma proximate to the second electrode, and acting as a current return by the first electrode.

摘要: A swimming pool vacuum cleaning apparatus having a number of pivoted, easily separable sections and provided with end bumpers. The end sections of the apparatus can readily be separated from the center sections by removal of hinge pins. The end sections can then be reversed to place an unworn portion of the bumper in a position exposed to rubbing and the apparatus reassembled. The pivoting feature of the sections allows conformance of the apparatus to uneven bottom surfaces and to the transitional surfaces between the bottom and sides and the bottom and ends of the pool. The apparatus can be conveniently increased in width by the addition of extra center sections and suction openings.
