    Abstract: An example method of ultra-wideband (UWB) sensing performed by a wireless communication device, the method comprising determining a first channel impulse response (CIR) estimation of a first frequency channel based on a radio access technology (RAT) session, wherein the RAT is different from UWB. The method also comprises determining a second CIR estimation of a second frequency channel based on a UWB session and determining a third CIR estimation of the first frequency channel based on determining a phase difference between the third CIR estimation and the first CIR estimation. The method further comprises determining a total CIR estimation for a combined frequency channel comprising the first frequency channel and the second frequency channel based on stitching the first CIR estimation, the second CIR estimation, and the third CIR estimation.

    Abstract: Using the modulation scheme and/or coding techniques of traditional BLE may limit not only the data rate, but also limit the amount that the transmit power of a BLE air interface packet can be reduced due to receiver sensitivity. Namely, the lowest signal power level from which a receiving device may obtain information without meeting a BER threshold may limit the amount that the transmit power at the transmitter side can be reduced. There exists a need to transmit a BLE air interface packet using a modulation rate that is greater than 1 Mbps or 2 Mbps, enables a further reduction in transmit power, and/or enables an increase in receiver sensitivity. The present disclosure provides a solution by applying a coding technique and a PSK modulation scheme to a BLE air interface packet that increases data rate and reduces the sensitivity of the receiving device as compared to traditional BLE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for radio frequency sensing control for an ultra-wideband system. Some aspects more specifically relate to setting up one or more sensing instances (sensing rounds) for one or more respective sensing operations. In some implementations, a first wireless device (for example a controller, an initiator) may transmit a sensing session setup request frame that indicates a set of parameters for the one or more sensing instances. For each of the sensing instances, the first wireless device may transmit a sensing control information element that includes at least a common sensing control configuration and a channel impulse response report configuration. The first wireless device may participate in the sensing operations with at least a second wireless device (for example one or more responders or controlees) during the respective sensing instances.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for adjacent channel interference (ACI) mitigation techniques for ultra-wideband (UWB) systems. Some aspects more specifically relate to ACI mitigation for UWB systems. In some implementations, a wireless communication device may receive control information that identifies a preamble for communications to the wireless communication device in a UWB system. The wireless communication device may receive, via a signal in the UWB system, a data packet that includes the preamble. The wireless communication device may estimate a channel impulse response (CIR) of the signal and determine an interference metric that is based on the estimated CIR. The wireless communication device may process the data packet based on the interference metric.
