Abstract: Extension of power efficient paging in a wireless network. In some examples, information is buffered for a time period corresponding to a paging slot, or both the paging slot and at least one adjacent slot. The buffered control information is processed to detect paging downlink control information (DCI) and a tracking reference signal (TRS). Based on the processing, the paging message is scheduled in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) in the paging slot. In some examples, quasi-co-located (QCL) processing may be performed on the TRS and the paging DCI paging message, and a paging message is scheduled, based on the QCL processing, in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) in a same or offset paging slot.

Abstract: User equipments (UEs) with reduced capabilities may need a relaxed processing timeline relative to standard UEs. The relaxed processing timeline may provide UEs with reduced capabilities an appropriate amount of time (e.g., during a random access procedure) to decode messages from a base station (BS) and/or to prepare uplink messages. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE configured to transmit a message to a serving BS, the message including a request for timeline relaxation for transmission of a subsequent message, the message and the subsequent message being associated with a random access procedure. The UE may receive a response message associated with the random access procedure and indicating one or more timing offsets corresponding to the timeline relaxation. The UE may transmit the subsequent message to the serving BS based on the one or more timing offsets indicated by the serving BS. The subsequent message acknowledges the response message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications system, a base station may schedule multiple user equipment (UEs) for unicast transmissions using a single downlink control information (DCI) format. For example, a first UE may receive, from a base station, DCI that includes unicast scheduling information for multiple UEs including the first UE. The first UE may determine, from the unicast scheduling information, a set of resources on which to communicate data with the base station. In such cases, the UE may transmit or receive data transmissions using the determined set of resources. In some examples, each UE of the multiple UEs may determine respective sets of resources based on one or more UE-specific transformation rules applied to common scheduling parameters of the DCI.
