    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and devices are described for wireless communications in which a group of clients in a peer-to-peer configuration can be automatically recreated after the group owner (GO) is terminated. In one aspect, the current GO of a current group can identify one of the clients as a candidate GO for a next group. The next group is to be formed when the current GO becomes unavailable (e.g., scheduled or unscheduled termination) and the current group is dissolved. In another aspect, the candidate GO can determine when the current GO is unavailable, which results in the current group being dissolved. The candidate GO can then send invitations to clients from the current group to join the next group and can form the next group based on those clients that accept the invitation. The invitations can be sent according to a sequence specified by the current GO before becoming unavailable.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for establishing an infrared (IR) triggered radio communication connection between two devices. Upon aligning IR ports, IR trigger messages can be exchanged between devices and/or access points using an IR communication link, where the IR trigger messages indicate intent and capability of establishing the connection.
