Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a differential UE-specific timing advance (TA) based at least in part on a difference between a first UE-specific TA associated with a current global navigation satellite system (GNSS) position fix and a second UE-specific TA associated with a previous GNSS position fix. The UE may transmit, to a non-terrestrial network (NTN) node, an uplink message at a time that is based at least in part on the differential UE-specific TA. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message from a first non-terrestrial network cell indicating cell synchronization information for a second non-terrestrial network cell. In some examples, the cell synchronization information may indicate whether the first non-terrestrial network cell and the second non-terrestrial network cell are synchronized at a reference point. Additionally, or alternatively, the cell synchronization information may indicate a timing offset value between a first uplink time synchronization reference point of the first non-terrestrial network cell and a second uplink time synchronization reference point of the second non-terrestrial network cell. The UE may calculate a timing associated with signaling from the second non-terrestrial network cell based at least in part on the cell synchronization information. The UE may receive one or more signals from the second non-terrestrial network cell based at least in part on the calculated timing.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for enabling multi-TRP transmission in non terrestrial networks. In one aspect, a user equipment receives a first reference signal from a first satellite transmission reception point (TRP) at a first timing and receives a second reference signal from a second satellite TRP at a second timing. The first timing is synchronized with the second timing at a first geographic location. The user equipment receives a third reference signal from the first satellite TRP at a third timing and receives a fourth reference signal from the second satellite TRP at a fourth timing. The third timing and the fourth timing are synchronized at the user equipment. The user equipment receives an indication of a timing offset of the fourth reference signal with respect to the second reference signal and uses the third and fourth reference signals as a quasi colocation (QCL) source.

Some wireless communications systems may support non-terrestrial network (NTN) signaling between both terrestrial and non-terrestrial devices. A user equipment (UE) supporting such NTN signaling may receive a downlink message indicating a first configuration for a first transmission reception point corresponding to a first cell of the NTN, and a second configuration for a second transmission reception point corresponding to a second cell of the NTN. The UE may then perform one or more synchronization measurements to synchronize uplink communications with the first transmission reception point and the second transmission reception point and in order to perform multi-transmission reception point communications in the NTN. The UE may then transmit one or more uplink messages to the first transmission reception point, to the second transmission reception point, or both, in accordance with the one or more synchronization measurements.

The UE may transmit, to the satellite, a set of uplink reference signals on the set of uplink slots according to the configuration. The set of uplink reference signals may include sounding reference signals (SRSs), positioning references signals (PRSs), or both. In some implementations, the UE may transmit the set of uplink reference signals in accordance with one or more timing advance values, where the timing advance values are indicated to the satellite by the UE, pre-configured by the satellite, or both. The UE may then, from a network node, an indication of a position of the UE based on the set of uplink reference signals.
