Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may measure a RSRP of a CRS for each of a plurality of neighboring cells. The apparatus may also calculate an interference strength of each of the plurality of neighboring cells based on the RSRP measurement of the CRS for each of the plurality of neighboring cells. Additionally, the apparatus may compare a PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE based on rate matching for a CRS offset associated with each of the plurality of neighboring cells with the PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE based on skipping the rate matching for the CRS offset. The apparatus may also transmit a request for the rate matching or skipping the rate matching for the CRS offset based on the comparison of the PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, an indication of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) processing unit (PPU) limit associated with the UE. The UE may receive configurations for a plurality of search space sets, wherein the plurality of search space sets includes one or more linked pairs of search space sets with linked PDCCH candidates for PDCCH repetition. The configurations of the one or more linked pairs of search space sets may be based at least in part on the PPU limit associated with the UE. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A new radio (NR) bit prioritization procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed, resulting in transmission and reception of modulation symbols having prioritized bits. For example, a transmitter may encode a code block using low-density parity-check code to generate a stream of encoded bits. The transmitter may arrange the encoded bits in one or more modulation symbols according to a relative priority of the encoded bits. The highest priority bits may be located in the most significant bits of the modulation symbol, and therefore be less likely to experience errors. A receiver may receive the modulation symbols and reorder the encoded bits according to the coding scheme based on the relative priority prior to decoding the encoded bits. The prioritization of the bits within the modulation symbols may provide improved block error rates over sequential mapping of encoded bits to symbols.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a transmitting wireless device and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the device determines, based on the first parameter associated with a Forward Error Correction (FEC) process and a second parameter associated with a probabilistic shaping process, the transport block (TB) size for a TB associated with a signal to be transmitted, and performs the probabilistic shaping process on a first set of data bits of the signal on the TB to obtain a second set of transmit bits. The TB cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is inserted into the TB before or after the probabilistic shaping process, and the probabilistic shaping process is applied on the TB level across multiple code blocks (CBs) associated with the TB or on the CB level individually inside each CB of the multiple CBs. The device further transmits the signal using the second set of transmit bits.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may obtain a plurality of reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements, each RSRP measurement of the plurality of RSRP measurements corresponding to an antenna port of a plurality of antenna ports associated with the UE. The UE may calculate a path loss and a transmit power for the plurality of antenna ports based on a worst RSRP measurement of the plurality of RSRP measurements, and may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) based on the transmit power. This may reduce a likelihood that a network node incorrectly estimates the channel conditions experienced by the UE and may improve the channel estimation capabilities of the network node.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, capability information relating to a capability of the UE for processing unicast and multicast physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions. The UE may receive configuration information that indicates unicast parameters for unicast PDSCH transmissions and multicast parameters for multicast PDSCH transmissions. The UE may receive at least one of one or more unicast PDSCH transmissions or one or more multicast PDSCH transmissions in a slot in a serving cell in accordance with a maximum soft buffer size associated with the UE and a maximum data rate associated with the UE, wherein the maximum soft buffer size and the maximum data rate are based at least in part on at least one of the unicast parameters or the multicast parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information indicating whether the network node is configured to perform a retransmission of decoding information prior to an end of HARQ processes associated with the network node. The UE may receive, for a HARQ process associated with a downlink communication from the network node, a retransmission of a transport block (TB) that is associated with a reserved MCS when full decoding information for the TB is unavailable. The UE may perform, based on a reception of a retransmission, an action to proceed with the HARQ process, to restart the HARQ process, or to terminate the HARQ process, wherein the action is based on whether the network node is configured to perform the retransmission of the indication of the MCS. Numerous other aspects are described.
