Abstract: An example image capture device includes memory and one or more processors coupled to the memory and a camera sensor. The camera sensor is disposed to receive light through at least a portion of a display. The one or more processors are configured to determine an effective aperture for the camera sensor. The one or more processors are configured to apply a mask to one or more pixels in the at least a portion of the display, wherein the mask is based on the effective aperture. The one or more processors are configured to capture an image using the camera sensor.

Abstract: Imaging systems and techniques are described. An imaging system causes a display to display light according to a predefined pattern. The imaging system receives image data of a scene from an image sensor. The image data is captured using the image sensor while the display is configured to display the light according to the predefined pattern. The imaging system processes the image data to generate at least one image frame of the scene based on detection of the predefined pattern in the image data. The imaging system outputs the at least one image frame of the scene.

Abstract: Methods for capturing intended subjects in an image are disclosed. Various embodiments may include determining a first quantity of a bilateral body part of individuals visible in a first preview image obtained by a first camera-lens combination having a first field of view, and automatically selecting one of a plurality of camera-lens combinations to use in capturing an image based on the first quantity of the bilateral body part of individuals visible in the first preview image. Some embodiments may include selecting a wide-angle camera-lens combination in response to the determined quantity of the bilateral body part of individuals visible in a first preview image is odd. Some embodiments may include automatically switching back to a standard or default camera-lens combination if an individual added in a wide-angle image is separated from the individuals visible in the first preview image by a predetermined threshold distance or distance ratio.

Abstract: Imaging systems and techniques are described. An imaging system can receive image data from an image sensor with different sets of photodetectors sensitive to different electromagnetic (EM) frequency domains. The imaging system determines, based on image data of a scene received from the image sensor, a first focus setting for focusing on the scene using the image sensor in the first domain. The imaging system determines, based on the first focus setting and a difference between respective characteristics of the first domain and a second domain, a second focus setting for focusing on the scene using the image sensor in the second domain. The imaging system causes the image sensor to capture a first image of the scene in the first domain according to the first focus setting, and to capture a second image of the scene in the second domain according to the second focus setting.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for selecting a camera from a plurality of cameras. For example, a process can include obtaining an image from a camera. In some cases, the process can include determining a depth of field (DOF) range associated with a scene captured in the image. In some aspects, the process can include comparing the DOF range associated with the scene captured in the image with one or more DOF ranges of respective cameras of a plurality of cameras. In some examples, the process can include determining a selected camera from the plurality of cameras based on comparing the DOF range associated with the scene captured in the image with respective one or more DOF ranges of each camera of the plurality of cameras.
