Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for adjusting an orientation in an image. A device may include one or more processors coupled to a memory. The one or more processors may be configured to receive a first frame captured by a first camera from a first perspective. The first frame includes a first depiction of an object with a first orientation. The one or more processors also may be configured to receive a second frame captured by a second camera from a second perspective. The first frame and the second frame are captured concurrently, and the second frame includes a second depiction of the object with a second orientation. The one or more processors are further configured to determine a final orientation of the object based on the first orientation and the second orientation, and generate a final image depicting the object with the final orientation.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for conserving resources when performing motion estimation. An example process can include determining, based on an input image and a reference image, motion vectors identifying motion between the input image and the reference image; determining whether the motion indicated by the motion vectors is below a first threshold; based on a determination that the motion indicated by the motion vectors is below the first threshold, refraining from determining a local motion between the input image and the reference image; determining a transform matrix based on the motion vectors and without using a local motion between the input image and the reference image; and adjusting the input image based on the transform matrix.

Abstract: An imaging system receives depth data (corresponding to an environment) from a depth sensor and first image data (a depiction of the environment) from an image sensor. The imaging system generates, based on the depth data, first motion vectors corresponding to a change in perspective of the depiction of the environment in the first image data. The imaging system generates, using grid inversion based on the first motion vectors, second motion vectors that indicate respective distances moved by respective pixels of the depiction of the environment in the first image data for the change in perspective. The imaging system generates second image data by modifying the first image data according to the second motion vectors. The second image data includes a second depiction of the environment from a different perspective than the first image data. Some image reprojection applications (e.g., frame interpolation) can be performed without the depth data.
