    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a holding apparatus which includes a base tray and an expansion tray. The base tray can hold a first board, and the expansion tray can hold a second board. The expansion tray can fit within the base tray and can have a transition mechanism. The transition mechanism can engage first connectors on the first board to second connectors on the second board, or disengage the first connectors from the second connectors.

    Abstract: An integrated latch apparatus for a securing and releasing computer equipment from a chassis includes a support bracket, a rotating shaft, a sliding plate having a latching extension, and a handle having a rotating end. The handle is secured at the rotating end to the support bracket about the rotating shaft. The rotating end of the handle includes nudging extensions. A torsion spring is disposed on the rotating shaft such that the torsion spring biases the support bracket against the handle such that the handle is in an open position when the torsion spring is extended towards an equilibrium state and in a closed position when the torsion spring is biased toward a fully compressed state. The nudging extensions engage and laterally move a sliding plate when the handle is rotated between the open position and the closed position.

    Abstract: A method for converting a computing device from a first configuration to a second configuration is provided. A power supply unit of the computing device is moved from a first location at a second end of the computing device to a second location at a first end of the computing device. The power supply unit is rotated such that a power interface of the power supply unit is visible from the first end of the computing device. A set of fans of the computing device is rotated such that airflow direction of the set of fans matches an airflow direction of the power supply unit at the second location. Converting the computing device from the first configuration to the second configuration can allow communication ports to be accessed from a front end or from a rear end of the computing device.

    Abstract: Described herein are example carrier systems for supporting memory storage drives of multiple sizes. The carrier systems include a carrier tray having a u-shape formed by a front bezel that extends between first and second lateral plates, and a tray adapter removably attached to the carrier tray. The carrier tray has a carrier internal space between the first and second lateral plates and is configured to receive a first memory storage drive. The tray adapter has a bottom plate that extends between first and second side walls. The tray adapter has a tray internal space between the first and second side walls, the tray internal space is configured to receive a second memory storage drive. The second memory storage drive has a smaller size than the first memory storage drive.
