    Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a computer chassis design, which includes a sled and a sliding bracket. The sliding bracket includes a removable power supplier socket on a first end and a sliding return lever on the second end. When the sled is removed from the computer chassis, the removable power supplier socket can move out of the chassis via a set of mechanisms. The set of mechanisms can include an elastic element to cause the power supplier socket to automatically rotate out of the chassis. The sled can be shaped to extend behind the power supplier socket.

    Abstract: A system includes a computing system, a snap rivet, and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). The computing system includes a chassis. The snap rivet includes a rivet and a cap, and the cap is secured to the chassis. The PCBA includes a pin base. The pin base has a washer portion with a hole. The pin base is configured to receive the cap through the hole. The cap protrudes through the hole and mechanically engages the rivet to secure the PCBA to the chassis. The snap rivet provides for tool-less installation and removal of the PCBA from the chassis of the computing system.

    Abstract: An electronic chassis includes a motherboard sled configured to engage in or out of the electronic chassis. The motherboard sled includes a housing and a mechanical actuator for engaging the motherboard sled into or out of an electronic chassis. The mechanical actuator includes at least one lever rotatably coupled to a hinge to form a first fulcrum adjacent to a vertical edge of a front surface of the housing. The mechanical actuator also includes a guiding arm adjacent to the hinge and mechanically connected to the at least one lever to form a second fulcrum. The guiding arm rotates between a secured position adjacent to the front surface and an unsecured position away from the front surface.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a chassis housing one or more electronic components, a module configured to be inserted into a channel defined by the chassis, and an alignment mechanism disposed in the channel. The alignment mechanism has a body portion that defines an aperture. When the module is initially inserted into the channel in a first orientation, a first portion of the module passes over the aperture and compresses the body portion of the alignment mechanism along a first axis, to allow the module to be fully inserted into the channel. When the module is initially inserted into the channel in a second orientation, a second portion of the module passes through the aperture and does not compress the body portion of the alignment mechanism along the first axis, to prevent the module from being fully inserted into the channel.

    Abstract: An isolated vibration assembly for a computing device includes a top assembly having a top plate. The assembly further includes a base assembly having a base plate that is generally parallel to and offset from the top plate. A partition assembly is positioned generally perpendicularly between the top plate and the bottom plate, with two partition plates defining an internal space. A plurality of vibration isolators is attached in an interspersed manner to one or more surfaces of the top plate, the base plate, or the two partition plates. A computing device is removably installed within the internal space, generating vibrations that are reduced when passing through the plurality of vibration isolators.

    Abstract: A pass-through device seals an opening of a barrier while permitting one or more cables to pass through the opening. The pass-through device includes a two-part seal that moves between an open position that permits insertion of a cable, and a closed position that establishes an airtight seal around the cable. The two-part seal can include a stationary seal segment and a moving seal segment. The moving seal segment can be moved away from the stationary seal segment by unlatching and opening a door on the pass-through device. A cable can be placed between the seal segments, and the door can be closed until it latches, thus sealing the cable between the seal segments. The seal segments can include inclines to urge the cable towards cable openings of the seal segments. In some cases, the two-part seal can include openings for multiple cables.

    Abstract: A node sled is for installation into an electronics chassis. The node sled includes a housing that contains electronic components. The housing includes a front bracket and a catch mechanism. The node sled further includes a lever having an engagement arm, an actuation arm, and a mounting portion. The mounting portion is pivotably mounted to the housing. The actuation arm is manually moveable between a first position in which the engagement arm locks the node sled into the electronics chassis, and a second position in which the engagement arm is released from the electronics chassis. The actuation arm has a latch that engages the catch mechanism in response to the actuation arm being in the first position.

The housing portion has a first sidewall and a second sidewall that are coupled via a base. A cable channel is defined between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The cable channel is configured to accommodate the one or more cables. The sliding portion is coupled to the first sidewall of the housing portion. The sliding portion has a lifting member extending across the cable channel from the first sidewall to the second sidewall. The sliding portion is configured to be moveable between a lowered position and a raised position. The lifting member moves from a first end of the cable channel to a second end of the cable channel, when the sliding portion moves from the lowered position to the raised position.
