Abstract: A valve chock dampener for installation at one end of a rocker arm in a linkage for controlling opening and closing of a valve in an internal combustion engine. The dampener includes a housing formed with an open ended piston-receiving chamber and a piston is slidably received in such chamber and is formed with a head end for engaging an adjacent control member for controlling the valve.
