摘要: A method is provided for alerting a user of scheduled tasks prior to falling asleep. The method includes associating an alarm device with a user's body by securing a wearable device to the user's wrist, placing the device in a pocket, integrating the device into the user's clothing such as a belt, or otherwise placing the device in contact with or adjacent to the user. The device includes one or more sensors for detecting physiological and/or environmental parameters such as heart, respiration, or pulse rate, body movements, eye movements, ambient light, and the like. Upon detecting a pre-sleep state, the device gathers information about tasks which the user desires to perform or attend to prior to going to sleep, and alerts the user before falling asleep.

摘要: A method and system for identifying location of a touched body part. The method includes initializing a tracking system for monitoring travel of a pointer useful for indicating a touching operation, wherein the touching operation is performed on a body part. In addition, the method includes monitoring the travel of the pointer from a predetermined first location to a second location, wherein the second location coincides with a touch endpoint on a body part; and identifying the location of body part that was touched by the pointer.

摘要: A display system includes a display and a control circuit operable with the display. The display is configured to provide visual output having a presentation orientation. When user input is received, the control circuit can alter the presentation orientation from an initial orientation in response to user input. When non-user events or device events are detected, the control circuit can revert the presentation orientation to the initial orientation in response to the non-user event or device event. Where the presentation orientation has a user input configuration associated therewith, the user input configuration can either be altered with the presentation orientation or retained in an initial disposition.

摘要: A method of operating an electronic device, and an electronic device, are disclosed in which occurrences of unintended operations of the electronic device, such as can occur in response to inadvertent actuations of actuators of the electronic device, are reduced. In one example embodiment, the method 500 includes detecting 510 an actuation of a first sensor that is associated with a first touch-sensitive component of the electronic device, and acquiring 512 data from an additional sensor of the electronic device. The method also includes determining 518, based at least in part upon the data, whether the actuation is valid, and either performing 524 or refraining 522 from performing at least one operation based at least in part upon the determining. In at least one additional embodiment, the first sensor is a piezoelectric sensor and the additional sensor is an accelerometer.

摘要: A method in a wearable electronic device of detecting clothing includes: detecting whether the wearable electronic device is coupled to a user, determining whether the wearable electronic device is covered, and adjusting one or more device settings of the wearable electronic device. A secondary check can perform an additional determination of whether the wearable electronic device is covered with clothing. One or more sensors, such as a skin sensor, a tension sensor, an infrared sensor, or microphones, can be used to execute the steps in the wearable electronic device.

摘要: An interface peripheral (101) for delivering haptic feedback includes a plurality of user input elements (107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112) that can be configured as keys. An engagement layer (222) or mechanical sheet spans two or more of the keys. One or more motion generation components (228, 229) can be coupled to the engagement layer. When a user actuates a key, it translates to close a switch, which can be a membrane switch or force sensing resistive switch. A control module (2105) actuates a motion generation component and the engagement layer (222) engages the actuated key or keys via either compression engagement or translation engagement. A haptic response (617) is delivered to the engaged key via the engagement layer.
